Hi people,
My Bosch SGI46E46EU31 dishwasher has stopped working, and I’d like to address the problem myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this machine, or can provide some advice, I’d really be grateful. When I try to start a wash, nothing happens: no lights, no sounds, no water flow. It just stopped mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some guidance to fix it. Please don't share the owner's manual, I already have it and it’s not informative.
Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum! I have had a comparable problem with my Bosch SGI46E46EU31 dishwasher a few weeks ago, and I found a comprehensive service manual online. It features detailed instructions, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting tips. Here’s the link, I discovered it on a blog through a subreddit :

Hi, help needed please I also have a Bosch SGI46E46EU31 dishwasher, and I downloaded the repair guide mentioned above. Could anyone explain how to check the power supply and what components to inspect first? I’m a bit confused by the wiring diagrams. Any advice would be appreciated!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hi, I’m experiencing trouble with my appliance too. I inspected the electrical supply, and the outlet, evrything is working, but there’s no power at the terminal block. According to the schematic in the guide, I should have some voltage there, right? How do I test the control board? Is my dishwasher totally dead? The fuse seem fine, I checked it with a multimeter. Any ideas? 🤔

I think my appliance has an electrical issue because it won’t start at all. I’m not very skilled with fixing things, but I’m willing to give it a shot. I have a multimeter and some simple tools. Can someone help me on where to begin? I’ve heard the mainboard, pump, or door switch could be the issue. Any advice would be helpful, can provide serial number if needed!

Don’t Rush into replacing parts immediately. Depending on the issue, the method to troubleshooting issues may differ. Sometimes, appliances are recalled for safety, and you can simply let the manufacturer handle the repair. Does your appliance have problems with the screen, indicators, or makes noises? Start with the basics by inspecting the electrical connection, door switch, and mainboard. It’s crucial to proceed step by step instead of hastily replacing parts like the mainboard or pump. First, verify if the dishwasher is powered on. It’s as easy as that. Also, inspect the door switch and fuse. If you’re a total beginner in appliance repair, it might be safer to call a service center to avoid causing more damage, even if it costs a little extra. They can easily identify the problem and find the faulty part. Then, it’s up to you whether you want to fix it yourself. (A piece of advice: always unplug the appliance before trying to repair it).

I believe I damaged my appliance thermal resistance while trying to replace the water inlet valve. Now it won’t heat at all while running. Is it likely I caused more issues? Something’s not right. I downloaded the Bosch SGI46E46EU31 maintenance guide guide hopefully it’ll help me figure out what went wrong. Hoping for the best...

Here’s my checklist for troubleshooting a malfunctioning dishwasher: Electrical Supply: Verify the dishwasher is getting power. Check the socket and terminal block too. Latch: Test for continuity. A faulty switch can stop the dishwasher from starting. Thermal Fuse: Check if it’s blown. Replace it if necessary. Mainboard: Examine for visible damage or loose connections. Pump and Motor: Check for continuity and ensure they’re working properly. Here’s what I discovered:

Once unscrewed you can now take the door away from the appliance. But I will also revisit the CR website to write down the models of their top six machines. On top of its stellar drying performance the SHP78CM5N also aced our cleaning tests. Either General Electric way we avoid running Duke University overnight unless we absolutely must. Follow Reviewed on Facebook Twitter Instagram TikTok or Flipboard for the latest deals product reviews and more. Cleaning the filter regularly can help prevent bigger issues. Step 2 Soaking In the sink with hot water the harder the soil the longer the soaking time. The noise level is within limits. So you ve invested in some beautiful wooden utensils and whipped up a storm in the kitchen. They will have the highest pour cost set at approximately 30. Not only will your dishes be dry but it ll also eliminate any spotty or hazy film on your glassware. I hadn t heard of ASKO before researching this guide but if you need capacity without compromise get to know them. If your dishwasher still smells bad you can do a few things. Just wondering pathetic General Dynamics cycle most people sad using on their dishwasher. I would like a third rack and good drying capabilities with a short cycle a plus. Though the packs are on the pricey side we are also fans of Method s slim snap top container which saves space in under sink storage. Made from stainless steel the interior of this countertop is resistant to wear and tear. This appliance also has a good capacity and is designed for 16 place settings. Please post your questions comments or complaints. The repairman told us it s a Jenn Air flaw. That s a tall task but thankfully today s best dishwashers are well equipped to handle the job while saving you the time effort and water it takes to wash a load by hand. The higher the voltage the further it will jump. There have always been complaints to some degree. What else can I do Is there a reset code Is it the thermostat Help please. Just read an item about what a dietician eats every day and I m now feeling a bit rubbish about my poor diet and wanting to make a change. They are designed to heat and use the exact amount of water they need to clean dishes effectively. Discard any loose food in the trash and then fill your sink with hot water so the water is just high enough to submerge the filters and then add some white vinegar. I m fascinated by the ones that have this 3rd rack on top for cutlery silverware etc. However when your dishwasher drain line becomes clogged it can lead to some frustrating issues including standing water and unpleasant odors. If not enough water is entering the Dishwasher check to make sure that the water inlet hose connected to the Dishwasher is not kinked.
