Hi people, My Bosch SGI46E46EU31 dishwasher has stopped working, and I’d like to address the problem myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this machine, or can provide some advice, I’d really be grateful. When I try to start a wash, nothing happens: no lights, no sounds, no water flow. It just stopped mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some guidance to fix it. Please don't share the owner's manual, I already have it and it’s not informative. Thanks in advance for any assistance!

I have had a comparable problem with my Bosch SGI46E46EU31 dishwasher a few weeks ago, and I found a comprehensive service manual online. It features detailed instructions, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting tips. Here’s the link, I discovered it on a blog through a subreddit :
Hi, help needed please I also have a Bosch SGI46E46EU31 dishwasher, and I downloaded the repair guide mentioned above. Could anyone explain how to check the power supply and what components to inspect first? I’m a bit confused by the wiring diagrams. Any advice would be appreciated!
Start by checking the basics:
1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model).
2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter.
3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.
Hi, I’m experiencing trouble with my appliance too. I inspected the electrical supply, and the outlet, evrything is working, but there’s no power at the terminal block. According to the schematic in the guide, I should have some voltage there, right? How do I test the control board? Is my dishwasher totally dead? The fuse seem fine, I checked it with a multimeter. Any ideas? 🤔
I think my appliance has an electrical issue because it won’t start at all. I’m not very skilled with fixing things, but I’m willing to give it a shot. I have a multimeter and some simple tools. Can someone help me on where to begin? I’ve heard the mainboard, pump, or door switch could be the issue. Any advice would be helpful, can provide serial number if needed!
Don’t Rush into replacing parts immediately. Depending on the issue, the method to troubleshooting issues may differ. Sometimes, appliances are recalled for safety, and you can simply let the manufacturer handle the repair.
Does your appliance have problems with the screen, indicators, or makes noises? Start with the basics by inspecting the electrical connection, door switch, and mainboard.
It’s crucial to proceed step by step instead of hastily replacing parts like the mainboard or pump. First, verify if the dishwasher is powered on. It’s as easy as that. Also, inspect the door switch and fuse.
If you’re a total beginner in appliance repair, it might be safer to call a service center to avoid causing more damage, even if it costs a little extra. They can easily identify the problem and find the faulty part. Then, it’s up to you whether you want to fix it yourself. (A piece of advice: always unplug the appliance before trying to repair it).
I believe I damaged my appliance thermal resistance while trying to replace the water inlet valve. Now it won’t heat at all while running. Is it likely I caused more issues? Something’s not right.
I downloaded the Bosch SGI46E46EU31 maintenance guide guide hopefully it’ll help me figure out what went wrong. Hoping for the best...
