Hello all, My Bosch SGI562617 dishwasher has ceased functioning, and I’d like to repair the problem myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this model, or can point me in the right direction, I’d really be thankful. When I try to start a washing cycle, nothing happens: no lights, no sounds, and no water is flowing. It just failed mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some advice to get it working again. Please don't share the user manual, I already have it and it’s not useful. Thanks in advance for any assistance!

I have had a comparable problem with my Bosch SGI562617 dishwasher a few months ago, and I found a detailed service guide on the internet. It features detailed directions, electrical schematics, and troubleshooting hints. Here’s the link, I discovered it on a blog on reddit :
Hello, help required please I too have a Bosch SGI562617 dishwasher, and I got the service guide shared above. Could someone explain how to test the electrical supply and what components to inspect first? I’m a bit confused by the electrical schematics. Any suggestions would be great!
Start by checking the basics:
1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model).
2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter.
3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.
I also downloaded the Bosch SGI562617 dishwasher maintenance guide from the link above. Couldn’t find it anywhere else without paying. Thanks a lot for providing it, you’re a real savior!
Hi, I’m experiencing trouble with my appliance too. I checked the power supply, and the socket, evrything is working, but there’s no power at the terminal block. According to the schematic in the pdf, I expect to have 120V there, correct? How do I test the control board? Is my dishwasher totally dead? The fuse seem good, I checked it with a voltage meter. Any suggestions? 🤔
I think my appliance has an electrical issue because it isn't starting. I’m not very experienced with fixing things, but I’m open to give it a shot. I have a current tester and some simple tools. Can anyone help me on where to begin? I’ve heard the mainboard, pump, or door mechanism could be the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated, can provide serial number if required!
Avoid jumping into replacing parts right away. Depending on the issue, the method to diagnosing malfunctions may vary. Sometimes, devices are recalled for safety, and you can simply allow the company handle the repair.
Does your appliance have issues with the display, lights, or makes sounds? Start with the fundamentals by inspecting the power supply, door switch, and mainboard.
It’s crucial to move step by step instead of hastily replacing parts like the control board or pump. First, verify if the appliance is getting power. It’s as easy as that. Also, inspect the latch and thermal fuse.
If you’re a total beginner in appliance repair, it might be safer to call a repair shop to avoid causing more issues, even if it costs a little extra. They can quickly identify the issue and find the faulty part. Then, it’s up to you whether you want to fix it yourself. (A piece of advice: always disconnect the dishwasher prior to trying to repair it).
I believe I damaged my dishwasher thermal resistance while trying to replace the water inlet valve. Now it won’t heat at all while running. Is it likely I caused more damage? Something’s not working properly.
I downloaded the Bosch SGI562617 maintenance guide guide hopefully it’ll assist me figure out what went wrong. Fingers crossed...
This is my go-to checklist for troubleshooting a faulty dishwasher:
Power Supply: Verify the dishwasher is receiving power. Check the socket and connection point as well.
Latch: Test for continuity. A faulty wire can prevent the dishwasher from working.
Thermal Fuse: Check if it’s damaged. Swap it if necessary.
Mainboard: Inspect for visible damage or loose connections.
Motor and Motor: Check for proper operation and ensure they’re working properly.
