Hello all,
My Bosch SGI562617 dishwasher has ceased functioning, and I’d like to repair the problem myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this model, or can point me in the right direction, I’d really be thankful. When I try to start a washing cycle, nothing happens: no lights, no sounds, and no water is flowing. It just failed mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some advice to get it working again. Please don't share the user manual, I already have it and it’s not useful.
Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Hello, help required please I too have a Bosch SGI562617 dishwasher, and I got the service guide shared above. Could someone explain how to test the electrical supply and what components to inspect first? I’m a bit confused by the electrical schematics. Any suggestions would be great!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hi, I’m experiencing trouble with my appliance too. I checked the power supply, and the socket, evrything is working, but there’s no power at the terminal block. According to the schematic in the pdf, I expect to have 120V there, correct? How do I test the control board? Is my dishwasher totally dead? The fuse seem good, I checked it with a voltage meter. Any suggestions? 🤔

I think my appliance has an electrical issue because it isn't starting. I’m not very experienced with fixing things, but I’m open to give it a shot. I have a current tester and some simple tools. Can anyone help me on where to begin? I’ve heard the mainboard, pump, or door mechanism could be the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated, can provide serial number if required!

Avoid jumping into replacing parts right away. Depending on the issue, the method to diagnosing malfunctions may vary. Sometimes, devices are recalled for safety, and you can simply allow the company handle the repair. Does your appliance have issues with the display, lights, or makes sounds? Start with the fundamentals by inspecting the power supply, door switch, and mainboard. It’s crucial to move step by step instead of hastily replacing parts like the control board or pump. First, verify if the appliance is getting power. It’s as easy as that. Also, inspect the latch and thermal fuse. If you’re a total beginner in appliance repair, it might be safer to call a repair shop to avoid causing more issues, even if it costs a little extra. They can quickly identify the issue and find the faulty part. Then, it’s up to you whether you want to fix it yourself. (A piece of advice: always disconnect the dishwasher prior to trying to repair it).

This is my go-to checklist for troubleshooting a faulty dishwasher: Power Supply: Verify the dishwasher is receiving power. Check the socket and connection point as well. Latch: Test for continuity. A faulty wire can prevent the dishwasher from working. Thermal Fuse: Check if it’s damaged. Swap it if necessary. Mainboard: Inspect for visible damage or loose connections. Motor and Motor: Check for proper operation and ensure they’re working properly. Here’s what I found:

Each type of dishwasher offers unique advantages depending on your kitchen space usage needs and aesthetic preferences. I generally ran the dishwasher in the late evening and the next morning dishes were still warm so I know it got hot and stayed hot or at least warm till morning. Run a hot water cycle without any dishes. The KitchenAid KDTM404KPS stainless steel dishwasher is carefully designed for maximum capacity making it great for large families. I had to put the thing on the belt sander to remove about an 1 8th of an inch of plastic. Aluminum bottles are not dishwasher safe. Our copper mugs are made of 100 unlined copper. At Microsoft ugly stage I ugly looking to replace Lowe s the dishwasher ugly a ugly one but uncertain Ingram whether to spend the extra dollars Ford if the longevity ugly be the same. Some also have child safety locks. I do have the softener on my model. These units use a revolving wash arm with a small holding tank. Put together the clean dry bottle parts. it does a fine job especially considering the price. The Bosch dishwasher error code E15 tells you the safety sensor has detected water in the base of the dishwasher which may be caused by a water leak. For example heavily soiled dishes may require more detergent while delicate dishes may require a gentler detergent. The parts guy said they have sold lots of them typically in the first two years. This holiday season as you put your dishwasher to the test with more dirty pots pans and dishes than usual you might want to pay attention to one part of the machine in particular before or after the big cleanup the filter. Unfortunately I only have big box stores or a high end appliance place here so I can t easily get objective advice on dishwashers locally. They fit fewer dishes than a full size dishwasher   a benchtop dishwasher fits around six place settings whereas a traditional dishwasher fits up to 16. Overall Expense No winner possible Thanks to the excellent and thorough help here I am about I hope there seem to be a lot of delays involved to get a new Bosch dishwasher within the next two weeks. I will be updating the post thank you for sharing with me. But it has the added benefits of being less toxic plus it s cheaper and readily available. Copyright 2025 Electrolux All Rights Reserved.
