Hello friends,
My Bosch SGI69D212 dishwasher has ceased functioning, and I’d like to address the issue myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this model, or can help me out, I’d really appreciate it. When I try to start a cleaning cycle, nothing happens: no lights, no sounds, and no water is flowing. It just stopped mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some assistance to fix it. Please don't share the owner's manual, I already have it and it’s not useful.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum! I have experienced a similar problem with my Bosch SGI69D212 dishwasher a few weeks ago, and I discovered a comprehensive service manual on the internet. It includes detailed directions, wiring schematics, and diagnostic tips. Here’s the URL, I found it on a blog thanks to a subreddit :

Hi, assistance needed please I too have a Bosch SGI69D212 dishwasher, and I downloaded the repair manual mentioned above. Could anyone explain how to test the electrical supply and what parts to inspect initially? I’m a bit overwhelmed by the wiring diagrams. Any advice would be appreciated!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hello, I’m experiencing trouble with my appliance too. I checked the power supply, and the socket, evrything is working, but there’s no power at the terminal block. According to the schematic in the manual, I expect to have 120V there, right? How do I test the mainboard? Is my appliance totally non-functional? The fuses seem fine, I checked it with a multimeter. Any suggestions? 🤔

I think my dishwasher has an electrical problem because it isn't starting. I’m not very skilled with fixing things, but I’m open to give it a try. I have a current tester and some basic equipment. Can anyone guide me on how to begin? I’ve heard the mainboard, pump, or door switch could be the issue. Any advice would be appreciated, can provide serial number if required!

Don’t Rush into replacing parts immediately. Depending on the problem, the method to diagnosing issues may vary. Sometimes, devices are recalled for safety, and you can simply let the company handle everything. Does your dishwasher have problems with the screen, lights, or makes sounds? Start with the fundamentals by checking the electrical connection, latch, and mainboard. It’s crucial to move step by step instead of quickly swapping parts like the control board or pump. First, check if the appliance is powered on. It’s as easy as that. Also, check the door switch and thermal fuse. If you’re a total beginner in appliance repair, it might be safer to call a repair shop to prevent causing more damage, even if it costs a bit more. They can quickly diagnose the issue and find the faulty part. Then, it’s up to you whether you want to replace it yourself. (A piece of advice: always disconnect the dishwasher prior to working on it).

I think I damaged my appliance heating element while trying to swap the water valve. Now it doesn’t warm up at all while running. Is it likely I caused more issues? Something’s not right. I grabbed the Bosch SGI69D212 maintenance guide guide hopefully it’ll help me figure out what went wrong. Hoping for the best...

This is my go-to checklist for troubleshooting a faulty dishwasher: Power Supply: Verify the dishwasher is getting power. Check the socket and connection point as well. Door Switch: Check for continuity. A broken wire can prevent the dishwasher from working. Fuse: Inspect if it’s damaged. Swap it if needed. Mainboard: Examine for obvious damage or disconnected connections. Pump and Motor: Test for proper operation and ensure they’re functioning properly.
