Hi folks,
My Bosch SGS43A52GB04 dishwasher has broken down, and I’d like to repair the issue myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this appliance, or can guide me, I’d really value it. When I try to start a cleaning cycle, nothing happens: no lights, no sounds, no water flow. It just died mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some advice to get it working again. Please don't share the owner's manual, I already have it and it’s not helpful.
Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum! I had a comparable problem with my Bosch SGS43A52GB04 dishwasher a few weeks ago, and I found a comprehensive service guide on the internet. It includes step-by-step directions, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic hints. Here’s the link, I discovered it on a blog on a subreddit :

Hello, assistance required please I too have a Bosch SGS43A52GB04 dishwasher, and I downloaded the service guide mentioned above. Could someone explain how to check the power supply and what components to test first? I’m a bit overwhelmed by the wiring schematics. Any advice would be appreciated!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hello, I’m experiencing trouble with my dishwasher too. I inspected the power supply, and the outlet, evrything is fine, but there’s no voltage at the connection point. According to the schematic in the pdf, I should have some voltage there, correct? How do I check the control board? Is my appliance totally dead? The fuse seem fine, I checked it with a multimeter. Any ideas? 🤔

I believe my dishwasher has an electrical problem because it won’t start at all. I’m not very tech savvy with repairs, but I’m willing to give it a try. I have a current tester and some simple tools. Can anyone guide me on where to start? I’ve heard the control board, motor, or door mechanism could be the problem. Any suggestions would be helpful, can provide serial number if needed!

Don't jump into replacing parts right away. Depending on the issue, the method to diagnosing malfunctions may differ. Sometimes, devices are recalled for safety, and you can simply allow the company handle the repair. Does your appliance have issues with the display, lights, or makes noises? Start with the fundamentals by checking the electrical connection, door switch, and control board. It’s important to move step by step instead of quickly replacing parts like the control board or pump. First, check if the dishwasher is getting power. It’s as simple as that. Also, inspect the door switch and thermal fuse. If you’re a complete beginner in dishwasher repair, it might be safer to call a service center to prevent causing more issues, even if it costs a little extra. They can easily identify the problem and identify the faulty part. Then, it’s your choice whether you decide to fix it yourself. (A piece of advice: always unplug the appliance prior to trying to repair it).

Here’s my checklist for troubleshooting a faulty dishwasher: Electrical Supply: Check the dishwasher is getting power. Test the outlet and connection point as well. Latch: Test for continuity. A faulty switch can prevent the dishwasher from working. Thermal Fuse: Inspect if it’s blown. Swap it if needed. Mainboard: Inspect for visible damage or disconnected connections. Pump and Pump: Test for proper operation and confirm they’re functioning properly. For more comprehensive instructions, check out this URL. : https://www.mumsnet.com/swearsby/best-dishwasher-cleaner
