Hi all,
My Bosch SGS5322DK04 dishwasher has failed, and I’d like to address the issue myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this unit, or can point me in the right direction, I’d really value it. When I try to start a washing cycle, nothing happens: no lights, no sounds, no water flow. It just died mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some support to troubleshoot it. Please don't share the owner's manual, I already have it and it’s not useful.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello, assistance needed please I also have a Bosch SGS5322DK04 dishwasher, and I downloaded the service guide mentioned above. Could anyone clarify how to check the power supply and what parts to inspect first? I’m a bit confused by the electrical schematics. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hello, I’m having trouble with my dishwasher too. I checked the power supply, and the socket, evrything is fine, but there’s no power at the connection point. According to the schematic in the pdf, I should have 120V there, right? How do I test the mainboard? Is my appliance totally dead? The fuse seem good, I tested it with a voltage meter. Any suggestions? 🤔

I think my appliance has an electrical problem because it isn't starting. I’m not very tech savvy with fixing things, but I’m willing to give it a shot. I have a multimeter and some basic equipment. Can someone guide me on how to start? I’ve heard the control board, pump, or door switch could be the issue. Any suggestions would be helpful, can provide model number if required!

Don’t Rush into replacing parts right away. Depending on the issue, the method to diagnosing issues may vary. Sometimes, devices are recalled, and you can simply let the company handle everything. Does your appliance have issues with the screen, indicators, or makes noises? Start with the basics by inspecting the electrical connection, door switch, and control board. It’s crucial to move step by step instead of hastily swapping parts like the control board or motor. First, verify if the appliance is powered on. It’s as easy as that. Also, inspect the door switch and thermal fuse. If you’re a complete beginner in appliance repair, it might be safer to call a repair shop to prevent causing more damage, even if it costs a bit more. They can quickly diagnose the issue and find the broken part. Then, it’s your choice whether you want to fix it yourself. (A tip: always unplug the dishwasher before trying to repair it).

This is my preferred checklist for troubleshooting a malfunctioning dishwasher: Power Supply: Check the dishwasher is getting power. Test the outlet and connection point too. Door Switch: Check for continuity. A faulty switch can prevent the dishwasher from working. Fuse: Inspect if it’s blown. Swap it if needed. Mainboard: Inspect for obvious damage or disconnected connections. Motor and Pump: Test for proper operation and confirm they’re functioning properly. Here’s what I discovered:

Clean up any vinegar spills immediately to avoid potential slipping hazards and to prevent surfaces from being damaged by prolonged exposure to acetic acid. When placing the trays down make sure that they are stable. I know not everyone has or uses a dishwasher. Most appliance manufacturers offer at least a one year full warranty meaning that both parts and labor are covered for any repairs within the first year. Dishwasher pods are generally effective at cleaning dishes and removing food residues. Appliance leaks can not only cost a significant amount of money in wasted water but they can also require extensive repairs to recover from the water damage. Try a different type of detergent making sure it s a high quality one. Thankfully it s common for modern dishwashers to include multiple drying settings too. A This is a really good question and one that many folks have when they run out of the handy dishwasher pods we use so often. Regularly cleaning the dishwasher door gasket is the best way to prevent mold from forming. Good MBNA Europe thing is shit the machine Microsoft is under warranty. Never used to hear of washing machines and dishwashers modding before. Sometimes I ll clean it every two or three months just because life gets busy. If unsure how the dishwasher s material will react to vinegar test on a small inconspicuous area first. The accumulation of food waste grease and soap scum is a common cause of clogs in a dishwasher s drain hose. This will help your dishwasher last longer by keeping it in good condition reducing the risk of draining problems. If your not worried about scalding. If necessary remove and reinstall the gasket to ensure a good fit and seal. We ve had our electrician come twice to check the socket and circuit and there are no faults showing on his test equipment. The strainer basket needs periodic cleaning. Some dishwashers have a sanitize setting that provides an extra layer of sterilization ensuring baby bottles are as clean as possible. Rubber gloves are your BFFs here. Reason being they ve all said is that they get as many repairs calls for top of the line luxury models as they do for mid to low range appliances. You need something fairly hardcore to be able to rinse off dried on food rather than scrub it. If your dishwasher features a self clean setting use this as often as recommended along with a proprietary dishwasher cleaner if suggested such as Dr. I also pulled the filter out and it still looks to be in good shape. At Chef s Toys we know how to help you to source the best products for your kitchen because our team has decades of experience in fast paced professional kitchens. An unfortunate issue that can arise from serial over packing a dishwasher is that obstruction can lead to a damaged spray arm which may actually have caused this issue in the first place as well. If you notice that your washer cycle time has increased or has a long cycle time it may be out of balance and you may be going through this correction procedure. If residue continues to be a problem when washing your bottles in the dishwasher there may be an issue with your appliance.
