Hi everyone,
My Bosch SGU09T02SK14 dishwasher has ceased functioning, and I’d like to diagnose the issue myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this unit, or can point me in the right direction, I’d really be thankful. When I try to start a cycle, nothing happens: no lights, no water flow, and no sounds. It just failed mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some help to troubleshoot it. Please don't share the owner's manual, I already have it and it’s not informative.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum! I have had a similar issue with my Bosch SGU09T02SK14 dishwasher a few weeks ago, and I found a detailed service manual on the internet. It includes step-by-step directions, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic hints. Here’s the URL, I found it on a blog on a subreddit :

Hi, help needed please I also have a Bosch SGU09T02SK14 dishwasher, and I got the service guide shared above. Could someone clarify how to test the power supply and what components to test initially? I’m a bit confused by the wiring diagrams. Any advice would be appreciated!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hi, I’m having trouble with my dishwasher too. I checked the electrical supply, and the outlet, evrything is fine, but there’s no power at the terminal block. According to the wiring diagram in the manual, I should have 120V there, correct? How do I test the control board? Is my dishwasher completely non-functional? The fuse seem good, I tested it with a multimeter. Any suggestions? 🤔

I think my dishwasher has an electrical issue because it isn't starting. I’m not very skilled with repairs, but I’m willing to give it a try. I have a current tester and some basic equipment. Can anyone guide me on where to start? I’ve heard the control board, pump, or door switch could be the problem. Any suggestions would be helpful, can provide serial number if needed!

Don’t Rush into changing parts immediately. Depending on the issue, the approach to diagnosing malfunctions may vary. Sometimes, devices are recalled for safety, and you can simply let the company handle the repair. Does your dishwasher have problems with the display, lights, or makes sounds? Start with the basics by checking the electrical connection, door switch, and control board. It’s important to move step by step instead of hastily replacing parts like the mainboard or pump. First, check if the dishwasher is powered on. It’s as simple as that. Also, check the door switch and fuse. If you’re a total beginner in appliance repair, it might be safer to call a service center to prevent causing more issues, even if it costs a little extra. They can easily diagnose the issue and identify the broken part. Then, it’s your choice whether you decide to fix it yourself. (A piece of advice: always unplug the dishwasher before working on it).

I think I damaged my dishwasher heating element while trying to replace the water inlet valve. Now it doesn’t heat at all while operating. Is it likely I caused more issues? Something’s not right. I downloaded the Bosch SGU09T02SK14 maintenance guide guide hopefully it’ll help me figure out what went wrong. Hoping for the best...

Here’s my preferred checklist for diagnosing a malfunctioning dishwasher: Electrical Supply: Verify the dishwasher is receiving power. Test the socket and connection point too. Door Switch: Test for continuity. A broken wire can prevent the dishwasher from working. Thermal Fuse: Check if it’s damaged. Swap it if necessary. Control Board: Inspect for visible damage or disconnected connections. Motor and Motor: Check for proper operation and ensure they’re functioning properly.
