Hello my good fellows,
My Bosch SGU55T22SK04 dishwasher has failed, and I’d like to troubleshoot the problem myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this machine, or can provide some advice, I’d really appreciate it. When I try to start a washing cycle, nothing happens: no lights, no water flow, and no sounds. It just died mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some assistance to fix it. Please don't share the operating manual, I already have it and it’s not helpful.
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum! I have experienced a similar problem with my Bosch SGU55T22SK04 dishwasher a few weeks ago, and I found a detailed service guide online. It includes step-by-step directions, electrical schematics, and troubleshooting tips. Here’s the URL, I found it on a blog through a subreddit :

Hi, assistance needed please I also have a Bosch SGU55T22SK04 dishwasher, and I downloaded the service guide mentioned above. Could anyone explain how to test the power supply and what components to test initially? I’m a bit overwhelmed by the wiring schematics. Any advice would be appreciated!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hi, I’m experiencing trouble with my appliance too. I inspected the electrical supply, and the socket, evrything is fine, but there’s no voltage at the connection point. According to the wiring diagram in the manual, I expect to have 120V there, correct? How do I check the mainboard? Is my appliance completely faulty? The fuses seem good, I tested it with a voltage meter. Any suggestions? 🤔

I think my appliance has an electrical problem because it isn't starting. I’m not very experienced with repairs, but I’m willing to give it a shot. I have a multimeter and some simple equipment. Can someone guide me on where to begin? I’ve heard the control board, pump, or door mechanism could be the problem. Any suggestions would be helpful, can provide serial number if required!

Don’t Rush into replacing parts immediately. Depending on the problem, the approach to troubleshooting issues may vary. Sometimes, appliances are recalled for safety, and you can simply allow the company handle the repair. Does your dishwasher have problems with the display, lights, or makes sounds? Start with the fundamentals by inspecting the power supply, door switch, and mainboard. It’s crucial to proceed step by step instead of quickly swapping parts like the control board or motor. First, verify if the dishwasher is powered on. It’s as easy as that. Also, check the latch and thermal fuse. If you’re a complete beginner in dishwasher repair, it might be better to call a service center to prevent causing more damage, even if it costs a little extra. They can quickly diagnose the problem and find the broken part. Then, it’s your choice whether you want to replace it yourself. (A piece of advice: always unplug the dishwasher before working on it).

This is my go-to checklist for diagnosing a malfunctioning dishwasher: Power Supply: Verify the dishwasher is getting power. Check the socket and terminal block too. Door Switch: Check for continuity. A broken wire can stop the dishwasher from starting. Thermal Fuse: Inspect if it’s damaged. Swap it if needed. Control Board: Inspect for obvious damage or disconnected connections. Motor and Pump: Check for proper operation and confirm they’re working properly.
