Hi friends,
My Bosch SGV43E93EU23 dishwasher has stopped working, and I’d like to troubleshoot the problem myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this appliance, or can guide me, I’d really appreciate it. When I try to start a wash, nothing happens: no lights, no sounds, and no water is flowing. It just shut down mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some guidance to repair it. Please don't share the owner's manual, I already have it and it’s not helpful.
Thanks in advance for your support!

Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum! I experienced a comparable problem with my Bosch SGV43E93EU23 dishwasher a few weeks ago, and I discovered a comprehensive service guide on the internet. It features step-by-step directions, electrical diagrams, and troubleshooting tips. Here’s the URL, I discovered it on a blog through reddit :

Hi, help required please I too have a Bosch SGV43E93EU23 dishwasher, and I downloaded the repair guide mentioned above. Could someone explain how to check the power supply and what components to inspect initially? I’m a bit confused by the electrical schematics. Any suggestions would be great!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hi, I’m having trouble with my appliance too. I checked the electrical supply, and the socket, evrything is working, but there’s no power at the connection point. According to the wiring diagram in the guide, I expect to have some voltage there, right? How do I test the control board? Is my appliance totally non-functional? The fuse seem fine, I checked it with a multimeter. Any suggestions? 🤔

I think my appliance has an electrical problem because it won’t start at all. I’m not very tech savvy with repairs, but I’m willing to give it a shot. I have a multimeter and some basic equipment. Can anyone help me on where to begin? I’ve heard the control board, pump, or door mechanism could be the problem. Any advice would be helpful, can provide serial number if needed!

Don’t Rush into replacing parts right away. Depending on the issue, the method to diagnosing malfunctions may vary. Sometimes, appliances are recalled, and you can simply allow the company handle everything. Does your appliance have problems with the display, indicators, or makes noises? Start with the basics by checking the power supply, latch, and control board. It’s important to move step by step instead of hastily swapping parts like the control board or motor. First, check if the appliance is powered on. It’s as simple as that. Also, check the door switch and fuse. If you’re a complete beginner in dishwasher repair, it might be safer to call a repair shop to prevent causing more damage, even if it costs a little extra. They can quickly diagnose the problem and identify the broken part. Then, it’s your choice whether you want to replace it yourself. (A piece of advice: always unplug the appliance before working on it).

I believe I damaged my dishwasher thermal resistance while trying to swap the water valve. Now it doesn’t warm up at all while operating. Is it possible I caused more issues? Something’s not right. I grabbed the Bosch SGV43E93EU23 maintenance guide guide hopefully it’ll help me figure out what went wrong. Fingers crossed...

Here’s my checklist for diagnosing a faulty dishwasher: Power Supply: Verify the dishwasher is getting power. Test the outlet and terminal block as well. Latch: Check for continuity. A broken switch can prevent the dishwasher from starting. Fuse: Inspect if it’s blown. Swap it if needed. Mainboard: Examine for obvious damage or disconnected connections. Motor and Pump: Check for proper operation and confirm they’re functioning properly.
