Hi people,
My Bosch SHE45C05UC48 dishwasher has broken down, and I’d like to troubleshoot the issue myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this appliance, or can offer suggestions, I’d really be thankful. When I try to start a cleaning cycle, nothing happens: no lights, no water flow, and no sounds. It just quit mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some assistance to repair it. Please don't share the user manual, I already have it and it’s not useful.
Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum! I have had a similar problem with my Bosch SHE45C05UC48 dishwasher a few months ago, and I found a comprehensive service guide online. It features step-by-step instructions, wiring schematics, and diagnostic tips. Here’s the URL, I discovered it on a blog thanks to reddit :

Hi, assistance required please I also have a Bosch SHE45C05UC48 dishwasher, and I downloaded the repair guide mentioned above. Could anyone clarify how to check the power supply and what components to test first? I’m a bit overwhelmed by the wiring diagrams. Any advice would be great!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hi, I’m having trouble with my dishwasher too. I checked the power supply, and the outlet, evrything is working, but there’s no voltage at the terminal block. According to the wiring diagram in the pdf, I expect to have some voltage there, right? How do I check the mainboard? Is my dishwasher totally non-functional? The fuses seem good, I tested it with a voltage meter. Any ideas? 🤔

I think my appliance has an electrical issue because it isn't starting. I’m not very experienced with repairs, but I’m open to give it a shot. I have a multimeter and some basic tools. Can anyone guide me on where to begin? I’ve heard the mainboard, motor, or door switch could be the problem. Any suggestions would be helpful, can provide serial number if required!

Avoid rushing into changing parts immediately. Depending on the issue, the approach to troubleshooting issues may vary. Sometimes, devices are recalled, and you can simply allow the company handle everything. Does your appliance have issues with the screen, lights, or makes noises? Start with the basics by checking the power supply, latch, and control board. It’s important to proceed step by step instead of quickly swapping parts like the control board or pump. First, check if the dishwasher is powered on. It’s as easy as that. Also, inspect the door switch and fuse. If you’re a total beginner in dishwasher repair, it might be safer to call a repair shop to avoid causing more damage, even if it costs a little extra. They can easily diagnose the issue and find the faulty part. Then, it’s your choice whether you decide to fix it yourself. (A piece of advice: always disconnect the dishwasher prior to trying to repair it).

I think I damaged my dishwasher thermal resistance while trying to swap the water inlet valve. Now it won’t warm up at all while operating. Is it likely I caused more damage? Something’s not right. I grabbed the Bosch SHE45C05UC48 maintenance guide guide hopefully it’ll help me figure out what went wrong. Hoping for the best...

Here’s my preferred checklist for troubleshooting a faulty dishwasher: Power Supply: Verify the dishwasher is getting power. Check the outlet and connection point as well. Door Switch: Check for continuity. A faulty wire can prevent the dishwasher from working. Fuse: Inspect if it’s blown. Replace it if necessary. Control Board: Examine for visible damage or loose connections. Pump and Motor: Check for proper operation and confirm they’re working properly.
