Hello my good fellows,
My Bosch SHE68M02UC52 dishwasher has quit working, and I’d like to address the issue myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this appliance, or can offer suggestions, I’d really be thankful. When I try to start a washing cycle, nothing happens: no lights, no water flow, and no sounds. It just failed mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some support to fix it. Please don't share the owner's manual, I already have it and it’s not useful.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum! I have experienced a similar problem with my Bosch SHE68M02UC52 dishwasher a few months ago, and I found a comprehensive service manual online. It features detailed instructions, electrical diagrams, and diagnostic hints. Here’s the URL, I found it on a blog thanks to reddit :

Hi, help needed please I too have a Bosch SHE68M02UC52 dishwasher, and I downloaded the service manual mentioned above. Could anyone clarify how to test the electrical supply and what components to inspect initially? I’m a bit overwhelmed by the electrical diagrams. Any suggestions would be great!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hi, I’m having trouble with my dishwasher too. I checked the power supply, and the outlet, evrything is working, but there’s no voltage at the connection point. According to the wiring diagram in the pdf, I should have 120V there, correct? How do I test the mainboard? Is my appliance completely dead? The fuses seem good, I tested it with a voltage meter. Any suggestions? 🤔

I think my appliance has an electrical problem because it won’t start at all. I’m not very skilled with repairs, but I’m willing to give it a try. I have a multimeter and some simple tools. Can someone help me on where to start? I’ve heard the control board, pump, or door mechanism could be the issue. Any advice would be helpful, can provide serial number if required!

Don't jump into changing parts right away. Depending on the issue, the method to troubleshooting malfunctions may differ. Sometimes, devices are recalled for safety, and you can simply let the company handle the repair. Does your appliance have problems with the screen, lights, or makes noises? Start with the basics by checking the power supply, latch, and mainboard. It’s crucial to move step by step instead of hastily swapping parts like the control board or pump. First, check if the dishwasher is powered on. It’s as simple as that. Also, check the latch and fuse. If you’re a total beginner in appliance repair, it might be safer to call a service center to avoid causing more issues, even if it costs a bit more. They can quickly identify the issue and find the faulty part. Then, it’s your choice whether you decide to replace it yourself. (A piece of advice: always disconnect the dishwasher before trying to repair it).

This is my go-to checklist for diagnosing a faulty dishwasher: Electrical Supply: Check the dishwasher is receiving power. Check the socket and terminal block as well. Door Switch: Check for continuity. A faulty wire can prevent the dishwasher from starting. Thermal Fuse: Inspect if it’s damaged. Replace it if needed. Mainboard: Inspect for visible damage or loose connections. Pump and Pump: Test for continuity and confirm they’re functioning properly.
