Hi everyone,
My Bosch SHU5307 dishwasher has broken down, and I’d like to diagnose the problem myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this model, or can offer suggestions, I’d really be grateful. When I try to start a cycle, nothing happens: no lights or sounds, and no water flows. It just quit mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some assistance to repair it. Please don't share the user manual, I already have it and it’s not useful.
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum! I had a similar problem with my Bosch SHU5307 dishwasher a few weeks ago, and I discovered a comprehensive service manual online. It features step-by-step instructions, electrical schematics, and troubleshooting tips. Here’s the URL, I found it on a blog thanks to a subreddit :

Hello, help required please I also have a Bosch SHU5307 dishwasher, and I downloaded the repair guide shared above. Could anyone explain how to check the electrical supply and what components to test initially? I’m a bit confused by the wiring diagrams. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hi, I’m experiencing trouble with my dishwasher too. I checked the electrical supply, and the outlet, evrything is working, but there’s no power at the connection point. According to the wiring diagram in the manual, I expect to have 120V there, correct? How do I check the control board? Is my appliance completely faulty? The fuses seem good, I checked it with a voltage meter. Any suggestions? 🤔

I think my dishwasher has an electrical issue because it won’t start at all. I’m not very tech savvy with fixing things, but I’m open to give it a try. I have a current tester and some basic tools. Can anyone help me on where to begin? I’ve heard the control board, motor, or door switch could be the problem. Any suggestions would be helpful, can provide serial number if required!

Don’t Rush into changing parts right away. Depending on the issue, the approach to troubleshooting malfunctions may differ. Sometimes, appliances are recalled, and you can simply let the company handle the repair. Does your dishwasher have issues with the screen, lights, or makes noises? Start with the basics by checking the power supply, latch, and mainboard. It’s important to proceed step by step instead of quickly swapping parts like the mainboard or pump. First, verify if the dishwasher is powered on. It’s as simple as that. Also, inspect the door switch and fuse. If you’re a total beginner in appliance repair, it might be safer to call a service center to prevent causing more issues, even if it costs a little extra. They can quickly identify the issue and find the broken part. Then, it’s up to you whether you decide to replace it yourself. (A piece of advice: always unplug the appliance before working on it).

Here’s my go-to checklist for troubleshooting a malfunctioning dishwasher: Power Supply: Check the dishwasher is getting power. Test the outlet and connection point too. Door Switch: Check for continuity. A broken wire can prevent the dishwasher from starting. Thermal Fuse: Inspect if it’s blown. Swap it if necessary. Mainboard: Examine for visible damage or disconnected connections. Motor and Motor: Check for continuity and ensure they’re working properly.
