Hi all, My Bosch SHV46M63EU01 dishwasher has quit working, and I’d like to address the issue myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this unit, or can provide some advice, I’d really be thankful. When I try to start a wash, nothing happens: no lights or sounds, and no water flows. It just stopped mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some guidance to troubleshoot it. Please don't share the operating manual, I already have it and it’s not informative. Thanks in advance for your support!

I had a similar problem with my Bosch SHV46M63EU01 dishwasher a few months ago, and I discovered a detailed service manual on the internet. It features step-by-step directions, wiring schematics, and troubleshooting hints. Here’s the URL, I discovered it on a blog through a subreddit :
Hello, help required please I too have a Bosch SHV46M63EU01 dishwasher, and I got the repair guide shared above. Could anyone clarify how to test the electrical supply and what parts to inspect first? I’m a bit confused by the wiring schematics. Any advice would be great!
Start by checking the basics:
1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model).
2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter.
3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.
Hi, I’m having trouble with my dishwasher too. I checked the electrical supply, and the outlet, evrything is working, but there’s no voltage at the connection point. According to the schematic in the guide, I expect to have some voltage there, correct? How do I test the control board? Is my dishwasher completely dead? The fuses seem fine, I checked it with a voltage meter. Any suggestions? 🤔
I believe my dishwasher has an electrical issue because it won’t start at all. I’m not very skilled with fixing things, but I’m willing to give it a try. I have a current tester and some simple tools. Can anyone guide me on how to begin? I’ve heard the control board, pump, or door switch could be the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated, can provide serial number if required!
Avoid jumping into replacing parts immediately. Depending on the problem, the approach to diagnosing issues may differ. Sometimes, devices are recalled for safety, and you can simply allow the company handle the repair.
Does your appliance have problems with the display, lights, or makes noises? Start with the fundamentals by inspecting the power supply, latch, and mainboard.
It’s crucial to move step by step instead of hastily replacing parts like the control board or motor. First, verify if the dishwasher is powered on. It’s as simple as that. Also, check the door switch and fuse.
If you’re a complete beginner in dishwasher repair, it might be safer to call a repair shop to avoid causing more damage, even if it costs a bit more. They can easily diagnose the issue and find the broken part. Then, it’s your choice whether you decide to fix it yourself. (A piece of advice: always disconnect the dishwasher before trying to repair it).
I think I damaged my dishwasher thermal resistance while trying to swap the water valve. Now it doesn’t warm up at all while operating. Is it possible I caused more issues? Something’s not working properly.
I downloaded the Bosch SHV46M63EU01 maintenance guide guide hopefully it’ll help me figure out what went wrong. Fingers crossed...
This is my checklist for troubleshooting a malfunctioning dishwasher:
Electrical Supply: Check the dishwasher is getting power. Test the socket and terminal block too.
Latch: Test for continuity. A faulty switch can stop the dishwasher from starting.
Fuse: Check if it’s blown. Replace it if necessary.
Control Board: Examine for obvious damage or loose connections.
Motor and Motor: Check for continuity and confirm they’re functioning properly.
