Hi my good fellows,
My Bosch SHV57T13CH10 dishwasher has failed, and I’d like to fix the problem myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this machine, or can provide some advice, I’d really be thankful. When I try to start a washing cycle, nothing happens: no lights, no sounds, no water flow. It just stopped mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some assistance to resolve the issue. Please don't share the user manual, I already have it and it’s not informative.
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum! I have experienced a comparable issue with my Bosch SHV57T13CH10 dishwasher a few months ago, and I discovered a comprehensive service manual online. It features step-by-step directions, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic hints. Here’s the link, I discovered it on a blog on a subreddit :

Hi, assistance required please I also have a Bosch SHV57T13CH10 dishwasher, and I got the repair manual shared above. Could someone clarify how to check the electrical supply and what parts to test initially? I’m a bit confused by the electrical diagrams. Any suggestions would be great!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hello, I’m having trouble with my appliance too. I inspected the power supply, and the outlet, evrything is fine, but there’s no voltage at the connection point. According to the wiring diagram in the pdf, I expect to have 120V there, right? How do I check the mainboard? Is my appliance totally dead? The fuse seem good, I checked it with a voltage meter. Any ideas? 🤔

I think my appliance has an electrical problem because it isn't starting. I’m not very tech savvy with fixing things, but I’m willing to give it a try. I have a current tester and some basic tools. Can someone help me on where to start? I’ve heard the control board, pump, or door mechanism could be the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated, can provide model number if required!

Don't jump into changing parts right away. Depending on the issue, the approach to diagnosing malfunctions may vary. Sometimes, appliances are recalled for safety, and you can simply allow the manufacturer handle the repair. Does your appliance have problems with the display, indicators, or makes sounds? Start with the basics by checking the power supply, door switch, and mainboard. It’s crucial to move step by step instead of quickly replacing parts like the mainboard or pump. First, verify if the appliance is getting power. It’s as easy as that. Also, check the door switch and thermal fuse. If you’re a total beginner in dishwasher repair, it might be better to call a service center to avoid causing more issues, even if it costs a bit more. They can easily diagnose the issue and identify the faulty part. Then, it’s your choice whether you decide to fix it yourself. (A tip: always unplug the dishwasher before working on it).

Here’s my go-to checklist for diagnosing a faulty dishwasher: Power Supply: Verify the dishwasher is receiving power. Test the outlet and terminal block as well. Latch: Test for continuity. A faulty switch can prevent the dishwasher from working. Thermal Fuse: Inspect if it’s blown. Swap it if needed. Control Board: Inspect for visible damage or disconnected connections. Motor and Pump: Check for continuity and ensure they’re working properly. Here’s what I discovered:

When I first researched this ingredient I had found that it was biodegradable and would leave no microplastics or harmful residue behind. Will try that and see if it clears up the tarnishing. The top rack easily adjusts up and down so tall pitchers or platters can be run in the bottom rack even with its small interior size. Avoid using harsh chemicals and bleach in your dishwasher as you can damage the heat sensors. capps I m not familiar with that issue as the issue I posted is the only one I ve had to deal with so far so you may have an issue that is possibly different than mine. Check the manufacturer s instructions of such items to see if they re dishwasher safe. I don t see how it cloud have had anything to do with the detergent though. The cost to repair a cracked dishwasher tub depends on the damage and your dishwasher model. I would think it may be a difference in the water. to record the noise in case service is needed. There are a lot of pros to a smart dishwasher. When I bought my KUDE60 I wanted the 70 due to the slightly lower dB rating but I needed it in black and 70 model didn t come in black. I noticed that the well that the filter sits in was full of water. You may want to try your luck running a short cycle at this point to see if it s fixed the problem. Then we can move on to the fun stuff. Also since that is a special order am I able to return it back to the local store if it doesn t solve the hammer problem. When homeowners notice their dishwasher sounds louder than usual the specific noise it s making can help narrow down the possible problem. To set the heated dry cycle most models have a separate button for heated dry. In addition dishwashers monitor themselves to make sure everything is running properly. You can now get back on the roll and enjoy the rest of your weekend without worrying about your clothes catching fire.
