Hi guys,
My Bosch SHX45P01UC58 dishwasher has broken down, and I’d like to fix the problem myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this appliance, or can provide some advice, I’d really appreciate it. When I try to start a cycle, nothing happens: no lights, no sounds, no water flow. It just stopped mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some advice to get it working again. Please don't share the owner's manual, I already have it and it’s not useful.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum! I had a comparable issue with my Bosch SHX45P01UC58 dishwasher a few months ago, and I discovered a detailed service manual online. It features step-by-step directions, electrical diagrams, and diagnostic hints. Here’s the link, I found it on a blog thanks to reddit :

Hello, help required please I also have a Bosch SHX45P01UC58 dishwasher, and I downloaded the repair guide shared above. Could someone clarify how to test the electrical supply and what parts to inspect first? I’m a bit overwhelmed by the wiring diagrams. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hello, I’m having trouble with my appliance too. I checked the power supply, and the socket, evrything is working, but there’s no power at the connection point. According to the wiring diagram in the manual, I expect to have some voltage there, right? How do I check the control board? Is my dishwasher completely non-functional? The fuse seem fine, I checked it with a multimeter. Any suggestions? 🤔

I think my dishwasher has an electrical problem because it won’t start at all. I’m not very skilled with repairs, but I’m open to give it a try. I have a current tester and some simple equipment. Can someone help me on how to start? I’ve heard the control board, motor, or door switch could be the problem. Any advice would be appreciated, can provide model number if required!

Don't jump into changing parts immediately. Depending on the problem, the method to troubleshooting issues may vary. Sometimes, appliances are recalled for safety, and you can simply let the company handle everything. Does your dishwasher have issues with the display, indicators, or makes sounds? Start with the basics by inspecting the electrical connection, door switch, and control board. It’s crucial to move step by step instead of hastily swapping parts like the mainboard or motor. First, verify if the dishwasher is powered on. It’s as simple as that. Also, inspect the latch and fuse. If you’re a complete beginner in dishwasher repair, it might be better to call a service center to prevent causing more damage, even if it costs a little extra. They can quickly identify the issue and identify the faulty part. Then, it’s up to you whether you decide to replace it yourself. (A piece of advice: always disconnect the dishwasher before trying to repair it).

I think I damaged my dishwasher heating element while trying to replace the water valve. Now it won’t warm up at all while running. Is it likely I caused more issues? Something’s not right. I downloaded the Bosch SHX45P01UC58 maintenance guide guide hopefully it’ll help me figure out what went wrong. Fingers crossed...

Here’s my checklist for troubleshooting a malfunctioning dishwasher: Power Supply: Verify the dishwasher is getting power. Test the outlet and terminal block too. Door Switch: Test for continuity. A broken wire can prevent the dishwasher from working. Thermal Fuse: Check if it’s damaged. Swap it if needed. Control Board: Examine for obvious damage or loose connections. Pump and Motor: Check for continuity and confirm they’re functioning properly.
