Hello people,
My Bosch SMS59M02EU32 dishwasher has quit working, and I’d like to diagnose the issue myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this model, or can guide me, I’d really be thankful. When I try to start a wash, nothing happens: no lights, sounds, or water flow. It just died mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some help to fix it. Please don't share the operating manual, I already have it and it’s not useful.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum! I have had a comparable problem with my Bosch SMS59M02EU32 dishwasher a few weeks ago, and I discovered a detailed service guide on the internet. It features detailed directions, electrical schematics, and diagnostic tips. Here’s the link, I discovered it on a blog on a subreddit :

Hi, help needed please I too have a Bosch SMS59M02EU32 dishwasher, and I downloaded the service manual mentioned above. Could anyone clarify how to check the power supply and what parts to test initially? I’m a bit overwhelmed by the electrical diagrams. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hi, I’m experiencing trouble with my appliance too. I inspected the power supply, and the socket, evrything is working, but there’s no voltage at the terminal block. According to the wiring diagram in the book, I should have some voltage there, correct? How do I test the mainboard? Is my dishwasher completely non-functional? The fuses seem good, I checked it with a voltage meter. Any suggestions? 🤔

I think my appliance has an electrical issue because it isn't starting. I’m not very skilled with repairs, but I’m willing to give it a try. I have a current tester and some basic equipment. Can anyone guide me on how to begin? I’ve heard the mainboard, motor, or door switch could be the problem. Any advice would be appreciated, can provide serial number if required!

Don’t Rush into changing parts right away. Depending on the problem, the approach to troubleshooting malfunctions may vary. Sometimes, devices are recalled for safety, and you can simply let the manufacturer handle the repair. Does your appliance have problems with the display, indicators, or makes noises? Start with the fundamentals by inspecting the power supply, latch, and mainboard. It’s important to move step by step instead of hastily replacing parts like the control board or pump. First, check if the dishwasher is powered on. It’s as easy as that. Also, check the door switch and thermal fuse. If you’re a complete beginner in dishwasher repair, it might be better to call a service center to avoid causing more issues, even if it costs a bit more. They can easily diagnose the issue and identify the faulty part. Then, it’s your choice whether you want to fix it yourself. (A tip: always unplug the dishwasher before trying to repair it).

Here’s my preferred checklist for diagnosing a faulty dishwasher: Power Supply: Check the dishwasher is receiving power. Test the outlet and terminal block too. Latch: Test for continuity. A faulty wire can prevent the dishwasher from working. Thermal Fuse: Check if it’s damaged. Replace it if necessary. Mainboard: Examine for obvious damage or disconnected connections. Motor and Pump: Test for continuity and confirm they’re functioning properly.
