Hi folks,
My Bosch SMS69L02GB01 dishwasher has quit working, and I’d like to troubleshoot the problem myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this unit, or can offer suggestions, I’d really value it. When I try to start a wash, nothing happens: no lights, sounds, or water flow. It just died mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some help to troubleshoot it. Please don't share the owner's manual, I already have it and it’s not helpful.
Thanks in advance for your support!

Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum! I had a similar issue with my Bosch SMS69L02GB01 dishwasher a few weeks ago, and I found a comprehensive service guide on the internet. It features step-by-step instructions, electrical schematics, and diagnostic hints. Here’s the link, I found it on a blog thanks to a subreddit :

Hi, help needed please I also have a Bosch SMS69L02GB01 dishwasher, and I got the repair manual shared above. Could anyone clarify how to test the power supply and what components to test initially? I’m a bit overwhelmed by the electrical schematics. Any suggestions would be great!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hi, I’m having trouble with my dishwasher too. I inspected the power supply, and the outlet, evrything is fine, but there’s no power at the connection point. According to the wiring diagram in the book, I should have some voltage there, correct? How do I check the control board? Is my appliance totally dead? The fuse seem fine, I checked it with a voltage meter. Any ideas? 🤔

I think my appliance has an electrical issue because it won’t start at all. I’m not very experienced with fixing things, but I’m willing to give it a try. I have a multimeter and some simple equipment. Can someone guide me on how to start? I’ve heard the control board, pump, or door mechanism could be the problem. Any suggestions would be helpful, can provide serial number if required!

Don’t Rush into changing parts right away. Depending on the issue, the method to troubleshooting malfunctions may differ. Sometimes, devices are recalled, and you can simply allow the manufacturer handle the repair. Does your appliance have problems with the screen, indicators, or makes noises? Start with the fundamentals by checking the power supply, latch, and mainboard. It’s important to proceed step by step instead of hastily replacing parts like the mainboard or pump. First, verify if the dishwasher is getting power. It’s as easy as that. Also, check the latch and thermal fuse. If you’re a total beginner in appliance repair, it might be safer to call a repair shop to prevent causing more damage, even if it costs a little extra. They can quickly diagnose the issue and identify the broken part. Then, it’s up to you whether you want to replace it yourself. (A tip: always disconnect the dishwasher before working on it).

I think I damaged my dishwasher thermal resistance while trying to replace the water valve. Now it doesn’t heat at all while running. Is it likely I caused more issues? Something’s not right. I downloaded the Bosch SMS69L02GB01 maintenance guide guide hopefully it’ll help me figure out what went wrong. Hoping for the best...

This is my go-to checklist for troubleshooting a malfunctioning dishwasher: Electrical Supply: Check the dishwasher is receiving power. Check the outlet and connection point too. Door Switch: Test for continuity. A faulty wire can prevent the dishwasher from starting. Thermal Fuse: Check if it’s blown. Replace it if necessary. Mainboard: Examine for visible damage or disconnected connections. Pump and Motor: Check for proper operation and ensure they’re functioning properly.
