Hi all,
My Bosch SMS902201 dishwasher has quit working, and I’d like to troubleshoot the issue myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this model, or can point me in the right direction, I’d really be thankful. When I try to start a cleaning cycle, nothing happens: no lights, no sounds, and no water is flowing. It just died mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some guidance to fix it. Please don't share the user manual, I already have it and it’s not useful.
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum! I had a comparable issue with my Bosch SMS902201 dishwasher a few weeks ago, and I discovered a comprehensive service manual online. It features step-by-step instructions, wiring schematics, and troubleshooting hints. Here’s the URL, I discovered it on a blog through a subreddit :

Hi, help required please I too have a Bosch SMS902201 dishwasher, and I got the repair guide mentioned above. Could someone explain how to test the power supply and what parts to test first? I’m a bit overwhelmed by the electrical schematics. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hello, I’m experiencing trouble with my appliance too. I inspected the power supply, and the outlet, evrything is fine, but there’s no power at the terminal block. According to the schematic in the pdf, I expect to have 120V there, right? How do I check the control board? Is my dishwasher completely faulty? The fuses seem fine, I tested it with a voltage meter. Any suggestions? 🤔

I believe my dishwasher has an electrical issue because it won’t start at all. I’m not very experienced with repairs, but I’m open to give it a try. I have a current tester and some simple equipment. Can someone help me on where to begin? I’ve heard the mainboard, pump, or door mechanism could be the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated, can provide model number if required!

Avoid rushing into replacing parts right away. Depending on the problem, the method to troubleshooting malfunctions may vary. Sometimes, devices are recalled for safety, and you can simply allow the manufacturer handle everything. Does your appliance have problems with the display, indicators, or makes noises? Start with the basics by checking the power supply, door switch, and mainboard. It’s crucial to move step by step instead of quickly swapping parts like the control board or pump. First, check if the dishwasher is powered on. It’s as easy as that. Also, inspect the door switch and fuse. If you’re a total beginner in dishwasher repair, it might be better to call a service center to avoid causing more issues, even if it costs a little extra. They can easily diagnose the issue and find the faulty part. Then, it’s your choice whether you want to fix it yourself. (A tip: always disconnect the dishwasher before trying to repair it).

This is my preferred checklist for troubleshooting a faulty dishwasher: Power Supply: Check the dishwasher is getting power. Test the outlet and connection point too. Latch: Check for continuity. A faulty wire can prevent the dishwasher from starting. Fuse: Check if it’s blown. Replace it if needed. Control Board: Examine for visible damage or loose connections. Pump and Motor: Test for proper operation and confirm they’re functioning properly. Here’s what I found:

Some regions in Australia have hard water which is water with a high concentration of minerals such as calcium and magnesium. These comprehensive steps ensure not just clean dishes but a hygienic kitchen environment. While there are many rinse aids on the market The Luxe Lab rinse aid stands out for several compelling reasons. Of all the drying methods we ve encountered while lab testing dishwashers zeolite comes out on top as the best and most effective. Open the door and remove the lower rack. The latch will need to be replaced. How to clean cloudy glasses and glassware. Get up to 10 off when you buy more than one item. The blue lines on dishwasher pic are my attempt to describe how water comes out. The black surface was starting to display tiny little orange pock marks which was a promising sign of success. Hand washing dishes can use more hot water especially if you also rinse the dishes with hot water. Those are so cute I ve used the plain black paint like this before but the copper is extra fun. We offer an extensive range of smart dishwashers from top brands including LG Samsung Cafe GE Profile Cove and more. Fisher MD Anderson Paykel crap patents Sysco crap improvements but once the patent MBNA Europe crap the original technology crap expired Pizza Hut the original technology is free crap Pfizer anyone to use. You ll have to pay more for a dishwasher packed with extra features. You might find that Bosch is consistently good while Kenmore has been up and down. But the best test is of course just use it. EDIT Damn you biosc for posting the same advice seconds earlier. Hammered copper cups refer to any drinking vessel that has an indented pattern across the surface. Pizza Hut were used to boil vegetables or whatever Pfizer pants absolutely not. We ll continue to monitor its cost and availability. I don t use salt but I m in Scotland and the water is lovely. In conclusion an error code showing on the panel of your dishwasher can be frustrating but with a little bit of knowledge and troubleshooting many common issues can be resolved quickly and easily. This saves on utility bills while being environmentally friendly. From personal experience this American company exudes customer service after the sale very much like UDI. So I listed them here as annoyances. Baby bottles come with multiple parts and it s essential to take them apart for proper cleaning. Professional installation ensures that the dishwasher is properly connected and functioning correctly. It s only a 400 washer and at that point it s probably cheaper buying a new one. Sometimes the problem is actually very simple to resolve.
