Hi all, My Bosch SMU50E15EU01 dishwasher has broken down, and I’d like to fix the issue myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this appliance, or can help me out, I’d really be thankful. When I try to start a cleaning cycle, nothing happens: no lights or sounds, and no water flows. It just failed mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some guidance to fix it. Please don't share the user manual, I already have it and it’s not useful. Thanks in advance for any advice!

I have had a similar problem with my Bosch SMU50E15EU01 dishwasher a few months ago, and I found a comprehensive service guide on the internet. It includes detailed instructions, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting tips. Here’s the link, I found it on a blog on a subreddit :
Hi, assistance needed please I also have a Bosch SMU50E15EU01 dishwasher, and I got the service manual shared above. Could anyone explain how to check the electrical supply and what components to inspect first? I’m a bit overwhelmed by the wiring schematics. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Start by checking the basics:
1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model).
2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter.
3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.
Hi, I’m having trouble with my appliance too. I checked the electrical supply, and the outlet, evrything is fine, but there’s no power at the terminal block. According to the schematic in the book, I expect to have some voltage there, right? How do I check the mainboard? Is my appliance completely faulty? The fuse seem good, I tested it with a multimeter. Any suggestions? 🤔
I believe my appliance has an electrical issue because it isn't starting. I’m not very tech savvy with fixing things, but I’m open to give it a shot. I have a current tester and some basic tools. Can anyone guide me on how to start? I’ve heard the control board, pump, or door switch could be the issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated, can provide model number if needed!
Avoid jumping into replacing parts right away. Depending on the problem, the approach to troubleshooting issues may vary. Sometimes, appliances are recalled for safety, and you can simply let the manufacturer handle everything.
Does your dishwasher have problems with the screen, indicators, or makes sounds? Start with the basics by checking the electrical connection, latch, and mainboard.
It’s important to proceed step by step instead of quickly swapping parts like the mainboard or pump. First, check if the dishwasher is powered on. It’s as easy as that. Also, inspect the latch and fuse.
If you’re a complete beginner in appliance repair, it might be safer to call a repair shop to avoid causing more damage, even if it costs a little extra. They can easily diagnose the problem and find the broken part. Then, it’s up to you whether you want to replace it yourself. (A piece of advice: always disconnect the dishwasher before trying to repair it).
I believe I damaged my dishwasher thermal resistance while trying to swap the water inlet valve. Now it doesn’t warm up at all while operating. Is it likely I caused more issues? Something’s not working properly.
I grabbed the Bosch SMU50E15EU01 maintenance guide guide hopefully it’ll assist me determine what went wrong. Fingers crossed...
