Hello everyone, My Bosch SMV69T10GB11 dishwasher has failed, and I’d like to diagnose the issue myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this appliance, or can guide me, I’d really value it. When I try to start a cycle, nothing happens: no lights or sounds, and no water flows. It just failed mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some help to get it working again. Please don't share the owner's manual, I already have it and it’s not informative. Thanks in advance!
Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum!
I have had a similar problem with my Bosch SMV69T10GB11 dishwasher a few months ago, and I discovered a detailed service manual on the internet. It features step-by-step instructions, electrical schematics, and diagnostic tips. Here’s the URL, I found it on a blog on reddit :
Hi, help required please I also have a Bosch SMV69T10GB11 dishwasher, and I got the service guide mentioned above. Could someone explain how to test the power supply and what components to test first? I’m a bit confused by the electrical diagrams. Any advice would be appreciated!
Start by checking the basics:
1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model).
2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter.
3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.
Hello, I’m having trouble with my dishwasher too. I checked the power supply, and the outlet, evrything is working, but there’s no power at the terminal block. According to the schematic in the pdf, I should have some voltage there, right? How do I check the mainboard? Is my appliance completely dead? The fuse seem good, I checked it with a multimeter. Any ideas? 🤔
I believe my appliance has an electrical problem because it isn't starting. I’m not very skilled with repairs, but I’m willing to give it a shot. I have a current tester and some basic equipment. Can anyone help me on how to start? I’ve heard the mainboard, motor, or door mechanism could be the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated, can provide model number if required!
Avoid jumping into replacing parts immediately. Depending on the problem, the method to troubleshooting issues may vary. Sometimes, appliances are recalled for safety, and you can simply allow the manufacturer handle everything.
Does your appliance have problems with the screen, lights, or makes noises? Start with the basics by checking the power supply, latch, and mainboard.
It’s important to proceed step by step instead of quickly replacing parts like the control board or motor. First, verify if the appliance is getting power. It’s as easy as that. Also, check the latch and thermal fuse.
If you’re a total beginner in appliance repair, it might be safer to call a service center to prevent causing more damage, even if it costs a bit more. They can easily identify the issue and identify the broken part. Then, it’s up to you whether you want to fix it yourself. (A piece of advice: always unplug the dishwasher prior to working on it).
I believe I damaged my appliance heating element while trying to swap the water valve. Now it doesn’t warm up at all while operating. Is it possible I caused more damage? Something’s not right.
I grabbed the Bosch SMV69T10GB11 maintenance guide guide hopefully it’ll help me figure out what went wrong. Hoping for the best...
Here’s my go-to checklist for troubleshooting a faulty dishwasher:
Power Supply: Check the dishwasher is getting power. Check the socket and terminal block too.
Latch: Test for continuity. A faulty switch can stop the dishwasher from working.
Fuse: Check if it’s damaged. Replace it if necessary.
Mainboard: Inspect for visible damage or disconnected connections.
Pump and Motor: Test for proper operation and ensure they’re functioning properly.
