Hi all, My Bosch SPI446506 dishwasher has ceased functioning, and I’d like to diagnose the issue myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this appliance, or can provide some advice, I’d really appreciate it. When I try to start a wash, nothing happens: no lights, no sounds, no water flow. It just died mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some advice to repair it. Please don't share the operating manual, I already have it and it’s not informative. Thanks in advance!

I have experienced a comparable problem with my Bosch SPI446506 dishwasher a few weeks ago, and I discovered a detailed service manual on the internet. It includes step-by-step directions, electrical diagrams, and diagnostic tips. Here’s the URL, I discovered it on a blog through reddit :
Hello, assistance needed please I also have a Bosch SPI446506 dishwasher, and I got the service guide shared above. Could anyone explain how to test the power supply and what parts to inspect initially? I’m a bit overwhelmed by the electrical diagrams. Any suggestions would be great!
Start by checking the basics:
1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model).
2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter.
3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.
Hello, I’m having trouble with my appliance too. I checked the power supply, and the outlet, evrything is working, but there’s no voltage at the connection point. According to the wiring diagram in the pdf, I should have 120V there, right? How do I test the mainboard? Is my dishwasher totally dead? The fuses seem fine, I checked it with a multimeter. Any suggestions? 🤔
I believe my dishwasher has an electrical issue because it won’t start at all. I’m not very skilled with repairs, but I’m open to give it a try. I have a multimeter and some basic tools. Can someone help me on how to begin? I’ve heard the mainboard, motor, or door mechanism could be the problem. Any advice would be appreciated, can provide model number if needed!
Don’t Rush into changing parts right away. Depending on the issue, the method to troubleshooting malfunctions may vary. Sometimes, appliances are recalled, and you can simply let the manufacturer handle everything.
Does your dishwasher have issues with the screen, indicators, or makes sounds? Start with the basics by inspecting the power supply, door switch, and control board.
It’s important to move step by step instead of quickly swapping parts like the control board or pump. First, verify if the appliance is powered on. It’s as simple as that. Also, inspect the door switch and fuse.
If you’re a complete beginner in dishwasher repair, it might be safer to call a service center to prevent causing more issues, even if it costs a little extra. They can quickly identify the problem and identify the faulty part. Then, it’s up to you whether you want to fix it yourself. (A piece of advice: always unplug the appliance prior to trying to repair it).
I believe I damaged my appliance thermal resistance while trying to replace the water valve. Now it won’t heat at all while running. Is it possible I caused more damage? Something’s not working properly.
I downloaded the Bosch SPI446506 maintenance guide guide hopefully it’ll assist me determine what went wrong. Fingers crossed...
Here’s my checklist for diagnosing a malfunctioning dishwasher:
Power Supply: Check the dishwasher is receiving power. Test the outlet and terminal block as well.
Door Switch: Check for continuity. A faulty switch can stop the dishwasher from starting.
Fuse: Check if it’s damaged. Replace it if needed.
Control Board: Inspect for visible damage or loose connections.
Pump and Motor: Check for proper operation and ensure they’re working properly.
