Hi folks,
My Bosch SPS5011JP10 dishwasher has ceased functioning, and I’d like to fix the issue myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this model, or can offer suggestions, I’d really thank you. When I try to start a cleaning cycle, nothing happens: no lights, sounds, or water flow. It just shut down mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some advice to fix it. Please don't share the owner's manual, I already have it and it’s not informative.
Thanks in advance for your support!

Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum! I have experienced a comparable issue with my Bosch SPS5011JP10 dishwasher a few months ago, and I found a detailed service manual on the internet. It includes step-by-step directions, electrical diagrams, and troubleshooting hints. Here’s the URL, I discovered it on a blog through reddit :

Hi, help required please I also have a Bosch SPS5011JP10 dishwasher, and I got the service guide mentioned above. Could anyone explain how to check the power supply and what components to test initially? I’m a bit confused by the electrical schematics. Any advice would be appreciated!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hi, I’m having trouble with my dishwasher too. I checked the power supply, and the socket, evrything is working, but there’s no voltage at the terminal block. According to the wiring diagram in the pdf, I should have 120V there, correct? How do I test the control board? Is my appliance completely dead? The fuse seem good, I tested it with a voltage meter. Any ideas? 🤔

I think my dishwasher has an electrical issue because it isn't starting. I’m not very skilled with repairs, but I’m open to give it a try. I have a multimeter and some simple equipment. Can anyone guide me on where to start? I’ve heard the control board, pump, or door switch could be the issue. Any advice would be appreciated, can provide serial number if required!

Avoid jumping into replacing parts immediately. Depending on the problem, the method to diagnosing malfunctions may differ. Sometimes, devices are recalled, and you can simply allow the manufacturer handle the repair. Does your appliance have problems with the display, lights, or makes sounds? Start with the fundamentals by inspecting the power supply, door switch, and control board. It’s important to move step by step instead of quickly replacing parts like the mainboard or motor. First, check if the appliance is powered on. It’s as simple as that. Also, check the door switch and fuse. If you’re a complete beginner in appliance repair, it might be better to call a service center to avoid causing more issues, even if it costs a little extra. They can easily diagnose the issue and identify the faulty part. Then, it’s your choice whether you want to fix it yourself. (A piece of advice: always unplug the dishwasher before trying to repair it).

I believe I damaged my appliance thermal resistance while trying to swap the water inlet valve. Now it won’t warm up at all while running. Is it likely I caused more damage? Something’s not right. I downloaded the Bosch SPS5011JP10 maintenance guide guide hopefully it’ll help me figure out what went wrong. Hoping for the best...

This is my preferred checklist for troubleshooting a malfunctioning dishwasher: Power Supply: Check the dishwasher is getting power. Check the socket and terminal block too. Door Switch: Check for continuity. A faulty switch can stop the dishwasher from working. Fuse: Check if it’s damaged. Swap it if necessary. Control Board: Inspect for visible damage or loose connections. Pump and Pump: Test for proper operation and ensure they’re functioning properly.
