Hello my good fellows,
My Bosch SRI46T55EU18 dishwasher has quit working, and I’d like to diagnose the issue myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this appliance, or can provide some advice, I’d really be grateful. When I try to start a wash, nothing happens: no lights, sounds, or water flow. It just died mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some assistance to troubleshoot it. Please don't share the owner's manual, I already have it and it’s not useful.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum! I have experienced a similar problem with my Bosch SRI46T55EU18 dishwasher a few months ago, and I found a comprehensive service guide on the internet. It includes step-by-step instructions, electrical schematics, and troubleshooting tips. Here’s the link, I found it on a blog on reddit :

Hello, help needed please I also have a Bosch SRI46T55EU18 dishwasher, and I downloaded the service guide shared above. Could someone clarify how to test the power supply and what components to test initially? I’m a bit overwhelmed by the electrical diagrams. Any suggestions would be great!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hi, I’m experiencing trouble with my dishwasher too. I inspected the electrical supply, and the socket, evrything is working, but there’s no power at the connection point. According to the wiring diagram in the guide, I should have 120V there, right? How do I test the mainboard? Is my appliance completely non-functional? The fuses seem good, I tested it with a voltage meter. Any ideas? 🤔

I think my dishwasher has an electrical issue because it won’t start at all. I’m not very tech savvy with repairs, but I’m open to give it a shot. I have a multimeter and some basic equipment. Can anyone guide me on where to begin? I’ve heard the control board, motor, or door switch could be the issue. Any advice would be helpful, can provide serial number if required!

Avoid rushing into replacing parts right away. Depending on the issue, the approach to troubleshooting issues may differ. Sometimes, devices are recalled, and you can simply let the company handle everything. Does your appliance have issues with the screen, indicators, or makes noises? Start with the fundamentals by checking the power supply, door switch, and control board. It’s crucial to move step by step instead of hastily replacing parts like the control board or motor. First, check if the dishwasher is getting power. It’s as simple as that. Also, inspect the latch and fuse. If you’re a complete beginner in appliance repair, it might be better to call a service center to prevent causing more damage, even if it costs a little extra. They can quickly diagnose the problem and find the broken part. Then, it’s your choice whether you decide to replace it yourself. (A tip: always disconnect the dishwasher before trying to repair it).

Here’s my checklist for troubleshooting a malfunctioning dishwasher: Power Supply: Verify the dishwasher is getting power. Test the socket and terminal block as well. Latch: Check for continuity. A faulty switch can stop the dishwasher from starting. Thermal Fuse: Inspect if it’s damaged. Replace it if needed. Control Board: Inspect for visible damage or loose connections. Motor and Motor: Check for continuity and ensure they’re functioning properly.
