Hi everyone,
My Bosch SRS8422GB08 dishwasher has ceased functioning, and I’d like to address the problem myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this model, or can point me in the right direction, I’d really appreciate it. When I try to start a washing cycle, nothing happens: no lights, no sounds, no water flow. It just died mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some guidance to fix it. Please don't share the user manual, I already have it and it’s not informative.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum! I have had a similar problem with my Bosch SRS8422GB08 dishwasher a few weeks ago, and I discovered a comprehensive service manual online. It features step-by-step directions, electrical diagrams, and troubleshooting tips. Here’s the link, I found it on a blog through reddit :

Hello, help required please I too have a Bosch SRS8422GB08 dishwasher, and I got the service manual mentioned above. Could someone explain how to test the power supply and what components to inspect first? I’m a bit overwhelmed by the wiring schematics. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hello, I’m having trouble with my dishwasher too. I checked the electrical supply, and the outlet, evrything is fine, but there’s no voltage at the connection point. According to the wiring diagram in the book, I should have some voltage there, right? How do I test the control board? Is my appliance completely faulty? The fuses seem good, I tested it with a multimeter. Any ideas? 🤔

I believe my appliance has an electrical issue because it isn't starting. I’m not very skilled with repairs, but I’m open to give it a shot. I have a current tester and some basic tools. Can anyone help me on how to start? I’ve heard the mainboard, pump, or door mechanism could be the issue. Any suggestions would be helpful, can provide serial number if required!

Avoid jumping into changing parts right away. Depending on the problem, the approach to diagnosing issues may differ. Sometimes, appliances are recalled for safety, and you can simply allow the manufacturer handle the repair. Does your appliance have issues with the screen, lights, or makes noises? Start with the fundamentals by inspecting the power supply, door switch, and control board. It’s important to proceed step by step instead of hastily swapping parts like the control board or motor. First, check if the dishwasher is powered on. It’s as easy as that. Also, inspect the latch and thermal fuse. If you’re a complete beginner in appliance repair, it might be better to call a repair shop to prevent causing more damage, even if it costs a bit more. They can easily diagnose the problem and identify the faulty part. Then, it’s up to you whether you decide to replace it yourself. (A tip: always disconnect the appliance prior to trying to repair it).

This is my go-to checklist for troubleshooting a malfunctioning dishwasher: Electrical Supply: Check the dishwasher is receiving power. Test the socket and connection point too. Latch: Test for continuity. A broken wire can prevent the dishwasher from working. Fuse: Check if it’s damaged. Swap it if necessary. Control Board: Examine for obvious damage or disconnected connections. Pump and Pump: Check for proper operation and ensure they’re functioning properly. Here’s what I discovered:

The top rack is where you place your cups glasses and small bowls. No hate to the dishwasher of course we still love it most of the time. If the wires and connections are okay replace the user interface control board. If your glasses and plates come out with a white residue on them you may have hard water. Forget about casserole dishes and pie plates the tines aren t tall enough to hold them upright so they just lay down flat which won t do. If your dishwasher s filter screens are caked with gunk or the water inlet valve is clogged the tub may not fill with water because debris is blocking water flow into the appliance. They have some kind of chemical inside to do the job. I m trying to find a new dishwasher and just found out that they don t seem to have heated dry anymore. Go buy something hey it s good for the economy. I suspect the dishwasher tablets have found a new additive. I have a kenmore elite dishwasher model 665. I normally run my dishwasher at 65 degrees. It also warns you of serious problems that do require a service call. You HZIV CAAMI bad also feel the grease slick sad cleaning Apple the filter. The sanitize cycle can add upwards of 1. While more than 50 of British and German panellists stated that they used a sink or bowl filled with water for washing up only about 10 of Romanian panellists indicated that 21. Clean out the pressure chamber. Everything else survives just fine. I ve tried the following tips that I ve read on the internet to no avail running a cycle of vinegar and water running a cycle of bleach in the detergent cup with the racks removed. Food particles can get trapped in the filter or drain pump leading to grinding or humming noises. Our recommendations are based on real world use not just specifications. Disconnect the wires from terminals on the bi metal switch. Food grease or dirt can accumulate over time and block the drainage system preventing the water from being drained properly. TL DR leak sensor keeps triggering I ve tried fixing it 3 times but now I ve run out of ideas and I can t diagnose the leak. Store dishwasher tablets in an airtight container. Before calling a plumber there are a few simple steps you can try to learn how to unclog a dishwasher and have it running smoothly again. I m going to take some of the scenarios described by the readers there and try to break down the numbers to see if the savings is really worth the time invested. Unless you re running your dishwasher with a single spoon in it and nothing more then the opposite is actually true. Every brand we ve tested has at some point put out a dishwasher that s been overpriced and underpowered. You can also try running your garbage disposal.
