Hi everyone, My Bosch SRS8422GB08 dishwasher has ceased functioning, and I’d like to address the problem myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this model, or can point me in the right direction, I’d really appreciate it. When I try to start a washing cycle, nothing happens: no lights, no sounds, no water flow. It just died mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some guidance to fix it. Please don't share the user manual, I already have it and it’s not informative. Thanks in advance for your help!

I have had a similar problem with my Bosch SRS8422GB08 dishwasher a few weeks ago, and I discovered a comprehensive service manual online. It features step-by-step directions, electrical diagrams, and troubleshooting tips. Here’s the link, I found it on a blog through reddit :
Hello, help required please I too have a Bosch SRS8422GB08 dishwasher, and I got the service manual mentioned above. Could someone explain how to test the power supply and what components to inspect first? I’m a bit overwhelmed by the wiring schematics. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Start by checking the basics:
1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model).
2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter.
3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.
Hello, I’m having trouble with my dishwasher too. I checked the electrical supply, and the outlet, evrything is fine, but there’s no voltage at the connection point. According to the wiring diagram in the book, I should have some voltage there, right? How do I test the control board? Is my appliance completely faulty? The fuses seem good, I tested it with a multimeter. Any ideas? 🤔
I believe my appliance has an electrical issue because it isn't starting. I’m not very skilled with repairs, but I’m open to give it a shot. I have a current tester and some basic tools. Can anyone help me on how to start? I’ve heard the mainboard, pump, or door mechanism could be the issue. Any suggestions would be helpful, can provide serial number if required!
Avoid jumping into changing parts right away. Depending on the problem, the approach to diagnosing issues may differ. Sometimes, appliances are recalled for safety, and you can simply allow the manufacturer handle the repair.
Does your appliance have issues with the screen, lights, or makes noises? Start with the fundamentals by inspecting the power supply, door switch, and control board.
It’s important to proceed step by step instead of hastily swapping parts like the control board or motor. First, check if the dishwasher is powered on. It’s as easy as that. Also, inspect the latch and thermal fuse.
If you’re a complete beginner in appliance repair, it might be better to call a repair shop to prevent causing more damage, even if it costs a bit more. They can easily diagnose the problem and identify the faulty part. Then, it’s up to you whether you decide to replace it yourself. (A tip: always disconnect the appliance prior to trying to repair it).
I believe I damaged my appliance heating element while trying to swap the water inlet valve. Now it doesn’t heat at all while running. Is it likely I caused more issues? Something’s not working properly.
I grabbed the Bosch SRS8422GB08 maintenance guide guide hopefully it’ll assist me determine what went wrong. Hoping for the best...
This is my go-to checklist for troubleshooting a malfunctioning dishwasher:
Electrical Supply: Check the dishwasher is receiving power. Test the socket and connection point too.
Latch: Test for continuity. A broken wire can prevent the dishwasher from working.
Fuse: Check if it’s damaged. Swap it if necessary.
Control Board: Examine for obvious damage or disconnected connections.
Pump and Pump: Check for proper operation and ensure they’re functioning properly.
