Hello everyone,
My Bosch SRV46A6328 dishwasher has broken down, and I’d like to diagnose the issue myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this unit, or can point me in the right direction, I’d really be grateful. When I try to start a cycle, nothing happens: no lights, no sounds, and no water is flowing. It just shut down mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some advice to fix it. Please don't share the owner's manual, I already have it and it’s not useful.
Thanks in advance for your support!

Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum! I have experienced a comparable problem with my Bosch SRV46A6328 dishwasher a few weeks ago, and I discovered a detailed service manual online. It features step-by-step directions, wiring schematics, and troubleshooting tips. Here’s the link, I found it on a blog thanks to a subreddit :

Hello, help required please I also have a Bosch SRV46A6328 dishwasher, and I got the service manual shared above. Could someone clarify how to test the electrical supply and what parts to test first? I’m a bit overwhelmed by the wiring diagrams. Any suggestions would be great!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hello, I’m having trouble with my dishwasher too. I inspected the electrical supply, and the socket, evrything is working, but there’s no power at the connection point. According to the wiring diagram in the pdf, I should have 120V there, right? How do I test the control board? Is my dishwasher completely faulty? The fuses seem fine, I tested it with a multimeter. Any suggestions? 🤔

I think my appliance has an electrical issue because it isn't starting. I’m not very tech savvy with fixing things, but I’m willing to give it a try. I have a current tester and some basic equipment. Can someone guide me on where to begin? I’ve heard the mainboard, motor, or door switch could be the problem. Any advice would be helpful, can provide serial number if required!

Avoid rushing into replacing parts right away. Depending on the issue, the method to troubleshooting issues may vary. Sometimes, appliances are recalled for safety, and you can simply let the manufacturer handle the repair. Does your dishwasher have problems with the screen, lights, or makes sounds? Start with the fundamentals by inspecting the power supply, door switch, and control board. It’s important to move step by step instead of quickly replacing parts like the control board or motor. First, check if the appliance is getting power. It’s as easy as that. Also, check the latch and fuse. If you’re a total beginner in appliance repair, it might be better to call a service center to avoid causing more issues, even if it costs a little extra. They can quickly identify the issue and identify the broken part. Then, it’s your choice whether you want to replace it yourself. (A piece of advice: always unplug the appliance before working on it).

I believe I damaged my dishwasher thermal resistance while trying to replace the water inlet valve. Now it won’t heat at all while running. Is it possible I caused more issues? Something’s not right. I grabbed the Bosch SRV46A6328 maintenance guide guide hopefully it’ll help me figure out what went wrong. Hoping for the best...

Here’s my checklist for diagnosing a faulty dishwasher: Electrical Supply: Check the dishwasher is getting power. Test the socket and terminal block as well. Door Switch: Check for continuity. A faulty wire can stop the dishwasher from starting. Fuse: Check if it’s blown. Swap it if necessary. Mainboard: Inspect for visible damage or loose connections. Motor and Pump: Check for proper operation and confirm they’re working properly.
