Hi my good fellows, My Hotpoint HDA3700G00BB dishwasher has quit working, and I’d like to diagnose the problem myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this machine, or can offer suggestions, I’d really be thankful. When I try to start a cleaning cycle, nothing happens: no lights, no sounds, no water flow. It just quit mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some assistance to get it working again. Please don't share the owner's manual, I already have it and it’s not informative. Thanks in advance for any assistance!

I have experienced a similar problem with my Hotpoint HDA3700G00BB dishwasher a few weeks ago, and I discovered a detailed service manual on the internet. It includes detailed instructions, wiring schematics, and troubleshooting tips. Here’s the URL, I found it on a blog through reddit :
Hi, help needed please I also have a Hotpoint HDA3700G00BB dishwasher, and I got the repair guide shared above. Could someone explain how to test the power supply and what parts to inspect initially? I’m a bit confused by the electrical diagrams. Any advice would be great!
Start by checking the basics:
1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model).
2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter.
3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.
Hello, I’m experiencing trouble with my dishwasher too. I inspected the electrical supply, and the socket, evrything is working, but there’s no power at the connection point. According to the schematic in the guide, I should have 120V there, right? How do I test the control board? Is my dishwasher totally non-functional? The fuse seem good, I tested it with a voltage meter. Any suggestions? 🤔
I believe my dishwasher has an electrical issue because it isn't starting. I’m not very experienced with repairs, but I’m open to give it a shot. I have a current tester and some simple equipment. Can anyone guide me on how to start? I’ve heard the control board, motor, or door switch could be the problem. Any advice would be appreciated, can provide model number if needed!
Don't jump into replacing parts immediately. Depending on the problem, the approach to diagnosing malfunctions may vary. Sometimes, devices are recalled for safety, and you can simply let the company handle everything.
Does your appliance have issues with the display, lights, or makes sounds? Start with the basics by checking the electrical connection, latch, and control board.
It’s crucial to proceed step by step instead of hastily replacing parts like the mainboard or pump. First, check if the dishwasher is getting power. It’s as easy as that. Also, inspect the door switch and thermal fuse.
If you’re a complete beginner in dishwasher repair, it might be better to call a repair shop to avoid causing more damage, even if it costs a little extra. They can quickly identify the issue and identify the faulty part. Then, it’s your choice whether you want to fix it yourself. (A tip: always disconnect the appliance before working on it).
I believe I damaged my dishwasher heating element while trying to swap the water valve. Now it won’t warm up at all while running. Is it likely I caused more issues? Something’s not right.
I grabbed the Hotpoint HDA3700G00BB maintenance guide guide hopefully it’ll help me figure out what went wrong. Fingers crossed...
