Hi guys,
My Kitchenaid KUDE60FVWH0 dishwasher has failed, and I’d like to fix the problem myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this unit, or can offer suggestions, I’d really appreciate it. When I try to start a wash, nothing happens: no lights, no water flow, and no sounds. It just quit mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some support to repair it. Please don't share the user manual, I already have it and it’s not helpful.
Thanks in advance for your support!

Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum! I have experienced a comparable problem with my Kitchenaid KUDE60FVWH0 dishwasher a few months ago, and I found a detailed service guide on the internet. It includes step-by-step directions, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting tips. Here’s the URL, I discovered it on a blog thanks to a subreddit :

Hi, assistance required please I too have a Kitchenaid KUDE60FVWH0 dishwasher, and I downloaded the repair guide mentioned above. Could someone clarify how to check the power supply and what components to test initially? I’m a bit confused by the electrical diagrams. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hello, I’m experiencing trouble with my dishwasher too. I checked the power supply, and the socket, evrything is working, but there’s no voltage at the terminal block. According to the schematic in the pdf, I expect to have some voltage there, correct? How do I test the control board? Is my dishwasher completely faulty? The fuse seem good, I checked it with a voltage meter. Any ideas? 🤔

I think my dishwasher has an electrical issue because it isn't starting. I’m not very tech savvy with repairs, but I’m willing to give it a try. I have a current tester and some basic tools. Can someone guide me on how to start? I’ve heard the mainboard, motor, or door mechanism could be the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated, can provide serial number if needed!

Avoid jumping into replacing parts right away. Depending on the issue, the method to diagnosing malfunctions may differ. Sometimes, devices are recalled for safety, and you can simply allow the company handle the repair. Does your appliance have problems with the screen, indicators, or makes noises? Start with the fundamentals by checking the power supply, door switch, and mainboard. It’s important to move step by step instead of quickly swapping parts like the mainboard or motor. First, check if the appliance is getting power. It’s as easy as that. Also, check the latch and fuse. If you’re a complete beginner in dishwasher repair, it might be better to call a repair shop to avoid causing more issues, even if it costs a bit more. They can easily diagnose the problem and identify the broken part. Then, it’s up to you whether you decide to fix it yourself. (A tip: always unplug the appliance prior to trying to repair it).

Here’s my go-to checklist for diagnosing a faulty dishwasher: Power Supply: Verify the dishwasher is getting power. Check the outlet and connection point too. Door Switch: Test for continuity. A faulty switch can stop the dishwasher from working. Fuse: Check if it’s damaged. Swap it if needed. Control Board: Examine for obvious damage or loose connections. Pump and Pump: Check for continuity and confirm they’re functioning properly.
