Hi folks, My LG LDT5665WW00 dishwasher has ceased functioning, and I’d like to repair the problem myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this model, or can point me in the right direction, I’d really value it. When I try to start a wash, nothing happens: no lights, no water flow, and no sounds. It just died mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some guidance to troubleshoot it. Please don't share the owner's manual, I already have it and it’s not informative. Thanks in advance for any assistance!

I had a similar problem with my LG LDT5665WW00 dishwasher a few months ago, and I discovered a comprehensive service manual online. It includes detailed instructions, electrical diagrams, and troubleshooting tips. Here’s the URL, I found it on a blog thanks to a subreddit :
Hi, assistance required please I also have a LG LDT5665WW00 dishwasher, and I got the service guide shared above. Could someone clarify how to test the power supply and what components to test first? I’m a bit confused by the wiring schematics. Any suggestions would be great!
Start by checking the basics:
1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model).
2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter.
3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.
Hi, I’m experiencing trouble with my appliance too. I inspected the power supply, and the outlet, evrything is working, but there’s no power at the connection point. According to the schematic in the pdf, I should have 120V there, right? How do I check the control board? Is my appliance completely faulty? The fuses seem fine, I tested it with a multimeter. Any ideas? 🤔
I believe my dishwasher has an electrical problem because it won’t start at all. I’m not very tech savvy with fixing things, but I’m open to give it a shot. I have a multimeter and some basic tools. Can anyone help me on where to start? I’ve heard the mainboard, pump, or door switch could be the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated, can provide serial number if required!
Don’t Rush into changing parts right away. Depending on the problem, the method to diagnosing issues may vary. Sometimes, appliances are recalled for safety, and you can simply allow the company handle everything.
Does your dishwasher have problems with the display, lights, or makes sounds? Start with the fundamentals by checking the power supply, door switch, and control board.
It’s crucial to move step by step instead of hastily swapping parts like the control board or pump. First, check if the appliance is powered on. It’s as simple as that. Also, check the latch and fuse.
If you’re a complete beginner in dishwasher repair, it might be better to call a service center to prevent causing more issues, even if it costs a bit more. They can easily diagnose the problem and find the faulty part. Then, it’s your choice whether you want to fix it yourself. (A piece of advice: always unplug the appliance prior to trying to repair it).
I think I damaged my appliance heating element while trying to swap the water valve. Now it doesn’t heat at all while operating. Is it likely I caused more damage? Something’s not right.
I grabbed the LG LDT5665WW00 maintenance guide guide hopefully it’ll assist me figure out what went wrong. Fingers crossed...
This is my preferred checklist for troubleshooting a faulty dishwasher:
Electrical Supply: Verify the dishwasher is getting power. Test the outlet and terminal block as well.
Door Switch: Check for continuity. A faulty switch can stop the dishwasher from working.
Fuse: Inspect if it’s damaged. Replace it if necessary.
Mainboard: Examine for visible damage or disconnected connections.
Pump and Motor: Check for proper operation and ensure they’re functioning properly.
