Hi friends,
My LG LDT7808BD00 dishwasher has stopped working, and I’d like to address the problem myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this model, or can help me out, I’d really be grateful. When I try to start a cycle, nothing happens: no lights, sounds, or water flow. It just quit mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some advice to troubleshoot it. Please don't share the owner's manual, I already have it and it’s not helpful.
Thanks in advance for your support!

Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum! I experienced a similar problem with my LG LDT7808BD00 dishwasher a few months ago, and I found a detailed service guide online. It features step-by-step directions, electrical diagrams, and troubleshooting hints. Here’s the URL, I found it on a blog on a subreddit :

Hello, assistance needed please I also have a LG LDT7808BD00 dishwasher, and I downloaded the repair guide shared above. Could someone clarify how to check the electrical supply and what components to test first? I’m a bit overwhelmed by the wiring schematics. Any suggestions would be great!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hi, I’m experiencing trouble with my appliance too. I checked the electrical supply, and the outlet, evrything is working, but there’s no voltage at the terminal block. According to the schematic in the guide, I should have 120V there, correct? How do I check the control board? Is my appliance completely non-functional? The fuses seem fine, I tested it with a voltage meter. Any ideas? 🤔

I believe my dishwasher has an electrical issue because it won’t start at all. I’m not very experienced with repairs, but I’m open to give it a try. I have a current tester and some simple tools. Can someone help me on how to start? I’ve heard the control board, motor, or door switch could be the problem. Any suggestions would be helpful, can provide model number if required!

Avoid jumping into changing parts immediately. Depending on the problem, the approach to troubleshooting issues may vary. Sometimes, devices are recalled for safety, and you can simply let the company handle the repair. Does your dishwasher have issues with the screen, indicators, or makes sounds? Start with the fundamentals by inspecting the power supply, latch, and control board. It’s important to proceed step by step instead of quickly replacing parts like the control board or pump. First, check if the dishwasher is getting power. It’s as simple as that. Also, check the latch and thermal fuse. If you’re a complete beginner in dishwasher repair, it might be better to call a service center to avoid causing more issues, even if it costs a little extra. They can quickly identify the problem and find the faulty part. Then, it’s up to you whether you decide to replace it yourself. (A piece of advice: always disconnect the dishwasher prior to trying to repair it).

Here’s my checklist for troubleshooting a faulty dishwasher: Electrical Supply: Verify the dishwasher is receiving power. Test the outlet and connection point as well. Latch: Check for continuity. A faulty wire can stop the dishwasher from working. Thermal Fuse: Check if it’s damaged. Replace it if needed. Control Board: Inspect for visible damage or loose connections. Pump and Pump: Check for proper operation and ensure they’re functioning properly. Here’s what I found:

It s highly improbable that the board is bad or you d be having other issues with the machine also. Setting bar drink prices can be a challenging part of managing a bar. Yes This is a condition caused by HARD WATER. The baby monitors that rated lowest in our tests. Gold Cake Stand Metal Dessert Display Set Wedding Party Cake Stand Tray Platter for Serving. And simply cleaning is not enough. Unlike with pods powders and tablets with liquid detergent a large portion washes away early on in a cycle. To properly load a dishwasher insert plates in the slots on the bottom rack so that they face towards the center. Consider unscrewing the P trap and stub pipe the arm that connects the sink to a central household drainage pipe and insert the snake into the pipe until you feel resistance. If there are problems with the water inlet valve such as low water pressure or a clogged filter it can hinder the dishwasher s ability to complete the cycle. Food particles can also get stuck in the spray arms. Mine came with both and i much prefer the tray. The dishwashers keep track of the number of pods you ordered and how many times you ve run the dishwasher so you can take one item off of your list to worry about when you go shopping. To make this homemade detergent without baking soda fill a glass cup with vinegar. Depending on the household participants only required one half to one fifth of the time in comparison to manually doing the dishes. After years of use the drain hose will be lined with black gunk eventually leading to a clog. Disinfectant Properties Vinegar exhibits disinfectant properties helping to sanitise dishes and utensils during the washing process. Moldy dishes are not only unsightly but also pose a significant health risk. Before working on the water line first shut off the water supply. It s pretty easy to replace if you slide out the dishwasher and lay it on its back. It could also mean that the door latch is broken. The set up means you lose quite a bit of usable space inside it. The detergent dispenser has two areas an open one for pre wash and another with a hinged door to release detergent during the wash cycle. Before starting a cycle rotate the dishwasher s spray arms to make sure they spin without hitting anything. Look for dishwashers with the ENERGY STAR label indicating they meet strict energy efficiency guidelines. The Beko DUT25401X while not as widely available as the Bosch can be purchased for under 600. I was very sceptical when a new dishwasher had a cutlery drawer but am totally converted will be going back to a basket one for a while soon and know it s going to get on my nerves. We Microsoft scrape large food scraps off Boeing the dishes so it doesn t block the drains British Army etc but stupid is a smell stupid builds Pfizer stupid over time stupid I don t like. At the very least mold will probably grow underneath your appliance which isn t good for your health or the floor. As we mentioned the spray arm requires water pressure in order to spin.
