Hi all, My RCA PSD765M20 dishwasher has quit working, and I’d like to repair the problem myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this unit, or can help me out, I’d really appreciate it. When I try to start a washing cycle, nothing happens: no lights, sounds, or water flow. It just stopped mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some support to get it working again. Please don't share the owner's manual, I already have it and it’s not useful. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hello, assistance needed please I also have a RCA PSD765M20 dishwasher, and I got the repair manual shared above. Could anyone clarify how to check the power supply and what parts to test first? I’m a bit overwhelmed by the wiring diagrams. Any advice would be great!
Start by checking the basics:
1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model).
2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter.
3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.
I just downloaded the RCA PSD765M20 dishwasher maintenance guide from the link above. I couldn’t find it anywhere else without paying. Thanks a lot for sharing, you’re cool!
Hi, I’m experiencing trouble with my dishwasher too. I inspected the power supply, and the socket, evrything is fine, but there’s no voltage at the connection point. According to the wiring diagram in the book, I should have some voltage there, correct? How do I test the control board? Is my appliance completely faulty? The fuses seem good, I tested it with a voltage meter. Any suggestions? 🤔
I think my dishwasher has an electrical issue because it won’t start at all. I’m not very experienced with repairs, but I’m willing to give it a shot. I have a current tester and some basic tools. Can anyone help me on where to begin? I’ve heard the mainboard, pump, or door mechanism could be the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated, can provide serial number if needed!
Avoid rushing into replacing parts immediately. Depending on the issue, the approach to diagnosing malfunctions may vary. Sometimes, devices are recalled, and you can simply allow the company handle everything.
Does your dishwasher have issues with the screen, lights, or makes sounds? Start with the fundamentals by inspecting the electrical connection, door switch, and control board.
It’s crucial to move step by step instead of hastily replacing parts like the control board or pump. First, check if the appliance is getting power. It’s as easy as that. Also, inspect the door switch and fuse.
If you’re a complete beginner in appliance repair, it might be better to call a repair shop to avoid causing more damage, even if it costs a little extra. They can quickly identify the problem and find the faulty part. Then, it’s up to you whether you decide to replace it yourself. (A tip: always unplug the dishwasher prior to working on it).
I think I damaged my dishwasher thermal resistance while trying to replace the water inlet valve. Now it won’t heat at all while operating. Is it likely I caused more damage? Something’s not right.
I downloaded the RCA PSD765M20 maintenance guide guide hopefully it’ll assist me determine what went wrong. Fingers crossed...
Here’s my go-to checklist for troubleshooting a faulty dishwasher:
Power Supply: Check the dishwasher is receiving power. Test the outlet and connection point too.
Door Switch: Check for continuity. A faulty wire can stop the dishwasher from starting.
Fuse: Inspect if it’s blown. Replace it if needed.
Mainboard: Inspect for visible damage or disconnected connections.
Pump and Pump: Check for continuity and ensure they’re functioning properly.
