Hello guys,
My Samsung DW80H9950USAA00 dishwasher has stopped working, and I’d like to address the issue myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this unit, or can help me out, I’d really appreciate it. When I try to start a cleaning cycle, nothing happens: no lights, no water flow, and no sounds. It just died mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some guidance to resolve the issue. Please don't share the user manual, I already have it and it’s not helpful.
Thanks in advance for your support!

Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum! I had a comparable issue with my Samsung DW80H9950USAA00 dishwasher a few months ago, and I found a comprehensive service guide online. It includes step-by-step instructions, electrical diagrams, and diagnostic tips. Here’s the link, I discovered it on a blog thanks to a subreddit :

Hi, assistance needed please I also have a Samsung DW80H9950USAA00 dishwasher, and I downloaded the service manual shared above. Could anyone explain how to check the electrical supply and what components to inspect initially? I’m a bit overwhelmed by the wiring schematics. Any advice would be great!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hello, I’m experiencing trouble with my appliance too. I inspected the power supply, and the socket, evrything is working, but there’s no power at the connection point. According to the wiring diagram in the book, I expect to have some voltage there, right? How do I check the mainboard? Is my dishwasher completely non-functional? The fuses seem good, I checked it with a voltage meter. Any suggestions? 🤔

I believe my appliance has an electrical issue because it won’t start at all. I’m not very tech savvy with repairs, but I’m open to give it a try. I have a current tester and some basic equipment. Can anyone help me on where to start? I’ve heard the control board, pump, or door mechanism could be the issue. Any suggestions would be helpful, can provide serial number if needed!

Avoid jumping into replacing parts immediately. Depending on the problem, the approach to diagnosing malfunctions may differ. Sometimes, devices are recalled for safety, and you can simply allow the company handle the repair. Does your appliance have issues with the screen, lights, or makes noises? Start with the fundamentals by checking the electrical connection, latch, and mainboard. It’s crucial to proceed step by step instead of quickly replacing parts like the mainboard or motor. First, check if the appliance is getting power. It’s as simple as that. Also, inspect the latch and thermal fuse. If you’re a complete beginner in dishwasher repair, it might be safer to call a service center to prevent causing more issues, even if it costs a little extra. They can easily diagnose the problem and find the broken part. Then, it’s your choice whether you want to fix it yourself. (A piece of advice: always unplug the appliance before working on it).

I think I damaged my dishwasher heating element while trying to replace the water valve. Now it won’t warm up at all while running. Is it possible I caused more damage? Something’s not working properly. I downloaded the Samsung DW80H9950USAA00 maintenance guide guide hopefully it’ll help me determine what went wrong. Hoping for the best...

This is my go-to checklist for diagnosing a faulty dishwasher: Electrical Supply: Verify the dishwasher is receiving power. Test the outlet and connection point too. Latch: Test for continuity. A faulty wire can stop the dishwasher from starting. Fuse: Check if it’s damaged. Swap it if necessary. Mainboard: Inspect for obvious damage or disconnected connections. Motor and Pump: Test for proper operation and ensure they’re working properly.
