Hi folks,
My Thermador TD123 dishwasher has stopped working, and I’d like to fix the problem myself, so if anyone has a a repair guide or service manual for this model, or can provide some advice, I’d really thank you. When I try to start a cleaning cycle, nothing happens: no lights, no sounds, and no water is flowing. It just failed mid-cycle yesterday. I’m looking for some help to troubleshoot it. Please don't share the operating manual, I already have it and it’s not helpful.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Welcome to the Dishwasher Repair Forum! I had a comparable issue with my Thermador TD123 dishwasher a few weeks ago, and I found a detailed service manual online. It features step-by-step directions, wiring schematics, and troubleshooting hints. Here’s the link, I found it on a blog on a subreddit :

Hello, assistance needed please I too have a Thermador TD123 dishwasher, and I downloaded the service guide shared above. Could anyone explain how to check the power supply and what parts to test initially? I’m a bit overwhelmed by the wiring schematics. Any suggestions would be great!

Start by checking the basics: 1. Power Supply: Use a multimeter to test the outlet and the terminal block where the power cord connects to the dishwasher. You should see around 120V (or 240V, depending on your model). 2. Door Switch: This is a common failure point. If the door isn’t fully closed or the switch is faulty, the dishwasher won’t start. Test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. 3. Thermal Fuse: If the dishwasher overheated, the thermal fuse might be blown. Check it for continuity as well.

Hello, I’m having trouble with my dishwasher too. I checked the power supply, and the outlet, evrything is working, but there’s no voltage at the terminal block. According to the wiring diagram in the pdf, I should have some voltage there, correct? How do I test the mainboard? Is my appliance completely non-functional? The fuse seem fine, I tested it with a multimeter. Any ideas? 🤔

I think my appliance has an electrical issue because it isn't starting. I’m not very tech savvy with repairs, but I’m willing to give it a shot. I have a current tester and some simple equipment. Can someone guide me on where to start? I’ve heard the mainboard, motor, or door mechanism could be the issue. Any suggestions would be helpful, can provide serial number if required!

Don’t Rush into changing parts right away. Depending on the issue, the approach to diagnosing issues may differ. Sometimes, appliances are recalled, and you can simply allow the manufacturer handle everything. Does your appliance have issues with the display, lights, or makes sounds? Start with the fundamentals by inspecting the electrical connection, latch, and mainboard. It’s important to proceed step by step instead of quickly replacing parts like the mainboard or pump. First, check if the appliance is powered on. It’s as easy as that. Also, check the latch and thermal fuse. If you’re a complete beginner in appliance repair, it might be better to call a repair shop to avoid causing more damage, even if it costs a little extra. They can quickly identify the issue and identify the broken part. Then, it’s up to you whether you decide to fix it yourself. (A tip: always unplug the dishwasher prior to trying to repair it).

I believe I damaged my dishwasher thermal resistance while trying to swap the water inlet valve. Now it won’t heat at all while operating. Is it possible I caused more damage? Something’s not right. I downloaded the Thermador TD123 maintenance guide guide hopefully it’ll help me determine what went wrong. Hoping for the best...

This is my go-to checklist for diagnosing a malfunctioning dishwasher: Electrical Supply: Check the dishwasher is getting power. Check the socket and connection point as well. Door Switch: Check for continuity. A faulty wire can stop the dishwasher from working. Fuse: Check if it’s blown. Replace it if needed. Control Board: Examine for obvious damage or disconnected connections. Motor and Motor: Test for continuity and ensure they’re functioning properly. Here’s what I found:

This can sometimes mean a repair may be in order. After the wash cycle if the control senses water remaining in the sump it might activate the drain pump to eliminate the water. In such instances homeowners should contact technicians to inspect the float assembly and replace the component if necessary. I can also keep a dish towel on it without it brushing on the floor when open. Now you ll be able to remove the faulty hinge lever. Then I remembered my friends had gotten a 5 liter Novete countertop dishwasher and they absolutely adored it. post the brand and model and some one will show you where to get the part for 25 and how to install the new one. A leaky dishwasher may be a sign that your water pump system is broken. Of course your dishes won t be as clean either. Ultimately the choice depends on your lifestyle kitchen layout and personal preferences. To clean the filter remove it from the machine using the owner s manual instructions and rinse it thoroughly under hot water. Also make sure that your main drainpipe is draining properly. This significant difference saves water and reduces the energy required to heat that water making dishwashers a more sustainable choice. It s coming right after Christmas. Pure copper may prove harmful but only if they. Like mechanical leak detectors ultrasonic detectors sense when water flow has exceeded expected use for an extended period. In fact Bosch s high end models have a sound output of just 38 decibels dBA. none of these were good options. It s best to do this as part of a regular maintenance routine rather than an everyday practice. Note For information about the decibel levels of your dishwasher visit the dishwasher s product page on the Samsung website and check its specifications for sound level described in dBA. According to some articles using heated dry actually shortens the life of your dishwasher because it requires the machine to work harder to heat up all those internal coils and pumps and such. If you suspect the problem requires electrical work to fix take the safe option and call a professional unless you have experience working with electronics. Cleaning performance is decent not amazing. We are currently building a new house and have purchased a 500 series Bosch dishwasher. It s easy to reposition the middle rack for larger items and the tub is stainless steel which instills confidence in durability. Stainless steel also withstands higher temperatures than plastic. Once we stopped doing AmerisourceBergen crap the problem disappeared. So I don t think it is a clogged hose or malfunctioning pump. But if you have a small kitchen you should consider whether it s worth sacrificing counter space for a compact dishwasher. When testing stain removal power this dishwasher s heavy cycle performed like a champ with a near perfect score.
